“ This scholarship is about investing in the people who keep dealerships moving forward,” said Mark Spader, 20 Group Moderator at NCM Associates.“ Leadership training is valuable, but it is not always accessible for every dealership. We wanted to create an opportunity for professionals looking to grow within the trailer industry.”
Running a trailer dealership means balancing inventory, service operations, staffing challenges, and customer demands, often all at once. While experience shapes many leaders, professional training helps current and aspiring leaders excel.
To invest in dealership leadership across the industry, NATDA and NCM Associates introduced the Trailer Industry Leadership Management Scholarship for 2026. The program will award one qualifying dealer full tuition to a management training course valued at $ 3,395.*
The recipient may choose from three NCM Associates programs: Total Management 1, Total Management 2, or Built to Perform. Each course will have a different emphasis, such as dealership operations, including financial management, team leadership, and performance management.
Applications are due August 1, 2026, and the recipient will be announced during the NATDA Trailer Show in Nashville on September 3.
Applicants are required to submit an essay outlining how the training would benefit their career, dealership, and the trailer industry as a whole. At least one industry letter of recommendation must also be included with each application.
The scholarship is open to dealership professionals at different stages of their careers, from managers preparing for leadership roles to established dealers looking to strengthen their operational and financial expertise.
