P . 4 | OCTOBER 2023 | THE HAMMONTONIAN

A Note From The Editor

The month of October has been a favorite of mine as not only does Halloween fall on this month , but it ’ s also the month of my birthday ( Oct . 2 ). Now that the spotlight is off me , October is filled with many fun events offered by the town . From the St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish ’ s Carnival and Fall Festival to the Kiwanis Club ’ s Halloween Parade , it is a precursor to the upcoming holiday season . The Hammonton Gazette presents to you the fall edition of The Hammontonian . While we ’ ve had the privilege of publishing issues of The Hammontonian , this issue is special as it is the first full-color issue . From a new layout , colored pictures and fonts , you ’ ll find features on an aspiring sports photographer in Lukas Guerrier , a travel column written by The Gazette ’ s own Kristin Guglietti from her time living in North Carolina , some fun fall recipes , a matchup ( sort of ) between both Hammonton High School and St . Joseph Academy ’ s head football coaches and many more . The Gazette staff has worked very hard to make this magazine a success . From Kristin Guglietti , Jennifer McGraw , Dan Russoman and Jaime Wuillermin contributing with their articles , MarySusan Hoffman redesigning the entire layout to make this aesthetically pleasing and Keith Dawn bringing in the revenue to make this possible , this was a collaborative team effort . We hope that you love the new layout , its pictures and the stories of the many people that make this community great .
