“ We ’ re really lucky that we have an awesome staff that ’ s with us , and some of them have been with us for 35 years and we all work together as a family and also our staff team to get it all together . We have a designer that ’ s on staff that helps create everything and design everything and then everyone pitches in . We all work together ,” Dillon said .
Thersa Pavesi created the displays seen around the track .
“ She ’ s done all of the displays . She ’ s magnificent , and that ’ s what we have out there now . She keeps adding her artwork and different things ,” DiDonato said .
According to Dillon , there are new scenes added every year .
“ We have a new barn scene that ’ s really cool that gives a little bit of creepy elements too . We always say we ’ re little goblin friendly , so it ’ s scary but for that 12 and under crowd ,” Dillon said .
There ’ s also a new hotel scene being constructed and there ’ s a new grim reaper scene made out of a wagon cart surrounded by coffins .
Jim Colasurdo , the manager at the Family Fun Center , also helped setting up with his wife , Shelley .
Every year Dillon said she loves seeing the kids dress up and as it gets closer to Halloween , more and more kids come in their Halloween costumes ready to trick-or-treat .
After visiting the train , guests can also stop inside to bowl at the Family Fun Center , eat some food at The Alley Bar & Grill and grab some ice cream at the Pin Deck .
“ We have a vampire float and cookies and scream ice cream ,” Dillon said when talking about the Pin Deck .
Admission includes : a train ride , Halloween corn maze , pumpkin from the pumpkin patch , fun on the giant slide , inflatable 40 ’ obstacle course , five trickor-treat spots , meet and greet photo op with the Local Witch , one free game of bowling and one shoe rental per person and more activities for children and adults .
“ It ’ s a totally immersive holiday experience for all three holidays that creates memories . We like to say here at DiDonato ’ s we like to have modern fun with a throwback vibe , so we try to make it fun so that everybody from the little babies to grandparents and greatgrandparents can all have some memories to make outside , inside , in the restaurant , on the lanes and also on the trains ,” Dillon said .
Tickets for the Trick-or-Treat Train cost $ 15.95 per person plus fees online and at the door tickets will be $ 18.95 per person . Tickets are free for children 12 months and younger .
