The next portion of the renovation process will be to bid for an
HVAC [Heating, Ventilating and
Air Conditioning] contractor.
“That will probably occur during
the January [Hammonton Board of
Education] meeting. We will select
a new contractor and the new contractor will install the system next
summer,” Blachford said.
As of now, Blachford expressed
the Hammonton Middle School
renovation timeline is moving
along as expected. Last year, there
was a roadblock in the commencement of the project as the district
didn’t receive word that they had
officially obtained the grant money
until May, according to Blachford.
“We got word in December that
it was approved and additional
word in January that it was approved, but all that is irrelevant
until you got the letter stating we
got the money. We didn’t get that
until later. That entire job should
have been done. We are going to
have to do HVAC next year, but we
have a much longer time-frame
and we are extremely confident,”

Street when her vehicle struck a
utility pole, Salvatore said.
She was charged with DWI,
reckless driving and failure to
maintain a lane, Salvatore said.
Officer Kevin Sloan was the arresting officer, Salvatore said.
