Marinelli , Iacovelli honored
HAMMONTON — Town council honored several outgoing individuals at their regular meeting on December 19 .
Among them was former mayor Ed Marinelli , who was retiring from the Hammonton Planning Board at the age of 92 .
Councilman Jonathan Oliva introduced Marinelli , saying that he has made “ an immeasurable impact to the town of Hammonton .”
“ I have a series of unique connections with Ed through multiple generations . I realized this as I started thinking more about what Ed means to our community and what Ed has done as planning board chair ,” Oliva said .
Oliva noted that Marinelli , as mayor , presided over his parents ’ wedding

HAMMONTON — Christmas is the time of year for families and loved ones to spend time together . It is also the time of year where you will see houses decked out in Christmas decorations , whether it would be lights , figurines , inflatables and more . For Mike and Darla Lucera , of 505 Rail Way , they have their entire front and backyard decked out in Christmas decorations of all different kinds . But it doesn ’ t just stop outside as there are more decorations inside their house .
Mike Lucersa said he loves to decorate for the people and children because they really appreciate the decorations whereas for Darla , Christmas is her favorite holiday . They started decorating their house ever since people are becoming sick with flulike symptoms . Whether the symptoms are coughing , runny nose or a fever , it has taken an effect on numerous people and it doesn ’ t help with the weather beginning to grow colder .
