Dolores R. “Lorie” DeMarco Dolores R. “Lorie” DeMarco (nee Bilazzo), 68, of Hammonton died on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side. She graduated from Hammonton High School in 1969. Lorie and her husband Ricky founded R.F. DeMarco Nursery in 1976, where she was widely known and remained as an officer of the business until her retire- ment. She was a loyal member of Victory Bible Church where she was inspirational with the Prayer Chain. She was one of the founding members of the Cruising Classic Cars. Lorie had a true love for horses; she raised several over the years. Lorie is predeceased by her parents, Rocco and Virginia Bilazzo; brother, Rocco Bilazzo; sister, Joann Luca and brothers-in-law, John Fanelli and Harry Wolf. She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky F. DeMarco; brother, John Bilazzo and sisters, Bernadette Fanelli and Donna Wolf. She will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law, Susanna DeMarco, along with many nieces and nephews. Viewings were held Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5, all at the Marinella Funeral Home, Hammonton. Services were held Thursday, December 5. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, 500 N. James W. Restuccio James W. Restuccio, 72, of Hammonton died peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees. Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He was the owner of Jimmy’s Lakeside Garage in Hammonton for many years. He enjoyed collecting antique miniature model tow trucks and cars. Jimmy had a heart of gold and he would help anyone in need. He is predeceased by two sons, Giacomo and Phillip Restuccio; his parents, James and Helen Restuccio and two brothers, James P. and Phillip “Fiji” Restuccio. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Restuccio (nee McCallin); two daughters, Stacy Restuccio and Kimberly Lucca; four sons, James W. Restuccio Jr., Mark Lucca, Anthony Lucca and John Lucca; one sister, Barbara Nuneville Restuccio; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchil- dren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Viewings will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., both at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Felice Catalfamo Felice Catalfamo, 85, of Hammonton died peacefully on Friday, De- cember 6, 2019 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. He was born in Vigliatore, Messina, Sicily, Italy and has been a resident of Hammonton since 1961. He was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish and St. John the Baptist Society. He worked at W.B. Kessler Cloth- ing Co. as a presser. He is predeceased by his wife, Antonina and his parents, Francesco and Anna Catalfamo. Surviving are his loving children, Franco Catalfamo and Anna Catalfamo-Heritage; his brothers, Anthony (Tanina), Joseph (Maria) and Salvatore Catalfamo (Lynn); his sisters, Santina Iacono and Sarina Catania (Felice) and two grandchildren, Michale and Felicia Catal- famo-Smith. A viewing was held Tuesday, December 10, at the Marinella Funeral Home, Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial was also held Tuesday, December 10, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church, Hammonton. Entombment followed in Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road, Hammonton. Manuel Alfonso Rios-Roman Manuel Alfonso Rios-Roman, 69, died on December 3, 2019. He was born on October 29, 1950 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and was a long-time resident of Hammonton. At a very young age, Manuel worked on a farm and in his spare time would grow vegetables in his backyard; he also enjoyed telling jokes to his family and friends. He is the son of the late Jose Rios Arroyo and Rosa Maria Roman. He is survived by his four children, Milagros Rios-Concepción, Manuel Joel, Kelvin Omar and Karen Beatrice Rios-Roman; eight grandchildren; five siblings, Jose, Luz Maria, Delia, Felicita and Julio Rios-Roman; 15 nieces and nephews, and many more family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Carnesale Funeral Home, Hammonton, where a viewing was also held. In other police news, a warrant arrest was made at 3:54 p.m. on December 5 at the corner of Front Street and 12th Street, Friel said. Friel said he was on patrol and observed a subject who had an outstanding warrant. Gabriel Luna, 19, of Hammon- ton had an outstanding warrant from Mullica Twp. for $250, Friel said. He was arrested, processed and released with a new court date from Mullica Twp., Friel said. “Community members have no- ticed people loitering in the area and panhandling so we have been investigating that,” Friel said. Friel was the arresting officer, he said. In other news, police are inves- tigating a theft on Second Street that was reported at 10 a.m. on December 2 on the 300 block of N. Second Street, Friel said. Friel said the complainant said unknown actors entered her prop- erty in the overnight hours, opened her mailbox, took out her mail and left it strewn across the yard and stole a lawn sign she had on her front lawn. Detective Sgt. Jared Baglivo was the investigating officer, Friel said. James N. Cappuccio James N. Cappuccio Jr., 62, of Hammonton died on Thursday, Decem- ber 5, 2019. Born in Camden, Jimmy was a Hammonton resident all his life. He worked as a dishwasher for various casinos in Atlantic City and last worked at the St. Joseph School in Hammonton. Surviving are a son, Thomas Cappuccio and sister, Cathy Lee Cap- puccio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sat- urday, December 14, 2019, 11 a.m. at the Landolfi Funeral Home, 237 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton. Rita Herbert Rita Herbert, 64, of Mullica Twp. died on Friday, December 6, 2019 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway Twp. Born in Somers Point, she was a lifelong resident of Mullica Twp. She was the owner of Lord’s Blooms Flowers in Mullica Twp. She was an active member of Victory Bible Church, and was a member of the women’s ministry. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, arranging flowers; but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Theodore Herbert; two sons, Walter Lockwood (Filiany), Jeremy Herbert (Misti); three daughters, Mishelle Perona, Reeda Nicholas (James), Rebecca Herbert (Julio); 11 grandchil- dren, Kaylyn, James, Steven, Jessica, Joshua, Carly, Madilyn, Bryanna, Andrew, Giavanna and Noah, three great-grandchildren, Madison, Katrina and James; two brothers, Kenny Davis (Judy) and Norman Davis and niece, Kelly Finkbeiner (John). HPD seeking Class II officers by Gabe Donio G AZETTE S TAFF W RITER HAMMONTON—The Ham- monton Police Department is looking for Certified Class II Of- ficers for part-time employment, Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel told The Gazette. “At this point, the Hammonton Police Department is looking to replace Class II Officers who we have lost to other agencies. People can come in and fill out an appli- cation so we can continue to keep our community as safe as possi- ble,” Friel said. Friel said the Class II position would handle court security and patrols. “It’s a great way for someone who has recently tested and will be on the civil service list to give us a show of their talents and skills,” Friel said.
