John W . Pitale

John W . Pitale , 92 , of Perkasie , Pa . and formerly of Hammonton , N . J . and Cape Coral , Fla . passed away Tuesday , November 23 , 2021 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville , Pa .
John was born and raised in Hammonton , N . J ., graduated from Hammonton High School in 1947 , attended Wharton School of Finance in Philadelphia and served in the U . S . Coast Guard from 1950-1953 . He went on to have a stellar career in finance and banking for over 40 years retiring as the CEO of Mellon Bank in Voorhees , N . J . in 1986 .
John was a member of the Gibbsboro-Voorhees Lions Club for over 12 years and served as president from 1979-1980 , member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1954 in Pine Island , Fla . since 2003 and a member of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Bokeelia , Fla . He is predeceased by his wife , Doris A . ( nee Doyle ) and parents , William and Anna ( nee Perino ) Pitale . John is survived by his nieces and nephews , Doreen Varley , Sharon Falcione , Shelia Dumas , Valerie Doyle , Jimmy Doyle and Billy Doyle along with many great-nieces and great-nephews . The family will be having private entombment and celebration of John ’ s life . In lieu of flowers , donations may be made in memory of John to St . Jude Children ’ s Research Hospital 501 St . Joseph F . “ Smokey ” Cirillo

Joseph F . “ Smokey ” Cirillo , 82 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away Thursday , December 2 , 2021 .
Smokey was born in Egg Harbor City , N . J . and graduated from St . Joseph High School in 1957 . He served in the United States Airforce from 1962-1965 stationed at McGuire Airforce Base . Joseph then re-enlisted and retired as a Technical Sergeant on July 27 , 1999 .
Joseph is predeceased by his parents and his wife , Michelle ( nee Gray ) Cirillo .
He is survived by his two daughters , Jennifer Pavlovitch ( Paul ) of Springfield , Pa . and Lisa Cirillo of Lindenwold , N . J .; sons , Joseph , Frank and Ronald Cirillo ; brother , Anthony Cirillo ( Jane ); and sisters , Roseann Sweeney ( Art ), Ann Cirillo and Carol Anne Cirillo . He is the loving grandfather of John and Olivia Chamberlain , and Paulie and Geo Pavlovitch .
Family and friends attended a visitation , Tuesday , December 7 , 2021 , 10:30 a . m ., at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , St . Joseph Church Third and French Streets Hammonton , N . J ., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a . m . Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery , 124 S . First Rd . Hammonton , N . J .

Joann Milazzo

Joann Milazzo , 76 , of Hammonton passed away on Thursday , December 2 , 2021 at her residence .
Born in Philadelphia on February 20 , 1945 to the late Bob and Lucille Schindler she grew up in Camden , N . J . She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and was later employed as a legal secretary in Pennsylvania . In 1966 , she married Sam Milazzo of Hammonton . Her working career included Deer Park Baking Co . as Executive Secretary to the president of the company . Joann later operated her own secretarial service business from home .
She is predeceased by her parents , Bob and Lucille and her brother , Tim Schindler .
She is survived by her husband of 55 years , Sam Milazzo ; two daughters , Charlene Curran ( Ed ) of Williamstown , Wendy Milazzo of Hammonton ; five grandchildren , Brad , Nicole , Stephen , Taylor and Devon ; one great-grandson , Adrian ; her brother-in-law , Anthony ( Carol ) Milazzo ; one niece , Tina Togno of Vineland ; two nephews , Brian Milazzo of Franklinville and Timothy of Massachusetts .
Joann was an active member of the Hammonton Congregation of Jehovah ’ s Witnesses . A memorial service will be held at a later date .

Members of Rolling Thunder N . J . Chapter 4 held a toy drive at Casciano Coffee Bar & Sweetery on Bellevue Avenue from 10 a . m . to 2 p . m . on December 4 . Three vehicles stolen November 29

Friel gave an account of the three vehicle thefts to The Gazette .
• On November 29 a theft of a vehicle on the 700 block of Bellevue Avenue was reported to police at 6:41 a . m .
A blue 2017 Dodge Ram pickup was taken from outside an apartment complex sometime between the hours of 5:30 p . m . on November 28 and 6:28 a . m . on November 29 , Friel said .
Officer Harry Valentin and Officer Gordon Ellis III are the investigating officers , Friel said .
• On November 29 a theft of another vehicle on the 700 block of Bellevue Avenue was reported to police at 6:43 a . m ., Friel said .
“ The caller reported a vehicle taken ,” Friel said .
A black 2009 Pontiac G6 was taken from outside the same apartment complex between the hours of 6 p . m . on November 28 and 6:15 a . m . on November 29 , Friel said .
“ Both vehicles are believed to have had the keys with the vehicles ,” Friel said . Valentin and Ellis are also investigating the other stolen vehicle , Friel said .

Woman arrested for trespassing

HAMMONTON — A woman was arrested for trespassing on the prime block of the White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ) at 6:26 p . m . on December 4 , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Police were dispatched to a location on the prime block of N . White Horse Pike regarding an unwanted person inside the store , Friel said .
Officer Travis Hoffman responded and came upon the accused subject , Rita Ramminger , 50 , of Mullica Twp .
Ramminger had been advised previously by the establishment and the police department that she was not permitted on the property , Friel said .
Friel said she was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing , charged with defiant trespass and released pending court date in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court .
Hoffman was the investigating and arresting officer , Friel said .

Officer Travis Hoffman responded to a stolen vehicle complaint , Friel said .
“ The victim said that at approximately 5:15 p . m . they pulled into the parking lot , parked the vehicle and left the vehicle unlocked and running when they entered the store . At approximately 5:18 , video from the area showed an unknown vehicle entering the parking lot and pulling in next to the stolen vehicle . The unknown subject , a passenger in the unknown vehicle , entered the running vehicle and left the area with it ,” Friel said .
Anyone with any information in reference to these thefts should contact the Hammonton Police Department at ( 609 ) 561-4000 , Friel said .
