HAMMONTON—Comic Con,
a fan convention dedicated to
comics, novels, toys, movies, television and much more, is coming
to town. The First Annual Jersey
Comic Con Christmas Spectacular
will be held at Kerri Brooke
Caters on the White Horse Pike
(Route 30) from December 13 to
December 15 organizers told The
Gazette.
It is the first show of this magnitude held in the southern New
Jersey area. Rich Wathey, one of
the three promoters of the First
Annual Jersey Comic Con Christmas Spectacular, stated that Kerri
Brooke Caterers and the town of
Hammonton was a great location
to have this three-day extravaganza.
“There have been no shows in
South Jersey, and there have been
plenty of shows in New Jersey but
they tend to be in the northern part
of the state…We thought this
would be a good location and
when we found the Kerri Brooke
[Caterers], and actually one of my
partners installs telephone systems
and he installed one and knew the
place, and he recommended it to
us. The folks in Hammonton have
just been terrific, so basically what
we are trying to do is put on a
show that is going to bridge the
gap between just a comic book
