Antiques will replace dresses at Ideal on the WHP

business for 28 years, he said. Stanford outlined his plans for the business’ new location
in town, where Ideal Fashions has been for
a long time. He classified it as an antique coop, and the name of the store will be called
Ideal Blend Antiques and Collectibles, he
said.
“We kind of want to make this the gateway to the area as far as family, fun-oriented
items. This summer, just to play it safe and
getting the clearance with the town, there is
a tarmac out back, a landing strip. I walked
it out. It will hold about 200 dealers with
good-sized booths. Then between the tarmac
and here, there is a huge section of land
which is grass. We will utilize that for parking for the flea market, so it doesn’t interfere
with the parking for the store.
“We plan on having a library and local authors can come in and read something from
their book, autograph it and so forth. Every
two months we will have voted local artist
and whoever gets voted in can display their
stuff for two months. Lecture services, appraisals, there will be a lot going on here,”
Stanford said.
The multi-functional business is made
possible because Stanford said the building
is of ample size. He and his business partner
will continue to move items into the new location during the month of December.
