OBITUARIES Gloria Cappuccio

Gloria Cappuccio ( nee Donio ), 94 , of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday , October 27 , 2021 .
Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident of the Rosedale and Hammonton area . Gloria was a graduate of St . Joseph ’ s High School in Hammonton . She was a faithful member of St . Martin De Porres R . C . Church , and later St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish both in Hammonton . She was truly dedicated to caring for her family , and she enjoyed Sunday morning coffee with family . She was constantly cooking for the entire family , from dinner , to the holidays and baking everyone ’ s favorite cakes , pies and other treats . You couldn ’ t visit her home without having a scone , cookie or a piece of cake . She loved getting visits from her many great-grandchildren and would make them milkshakes with all the ice cream flavors in her freezer . With 13 older siblings , Gloria was always running around taking care of everyone . Gloria ’ s other pleasure was going to the casino . She and her husband Joe would take a few trips a week to the casino and loved spending the day playing the slots .
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years , Joseph F . Cappuccio , and her 13 siblings .
She is survived by her children , Paula Cappuccio , Joseph F . Cappuccio II ( Kim ), Robert Cappuccio ( Jackie ), and Stephen Cappuccio ( Linda ); her grandchildren , Frank Olivo , Stephanie Olivo ( Chris Vigale ), Kristen LeBeau ( Derek ), Melissa Yearicks ( Christopher ), Joseph Cappuccio III ( Katie ), Robert Cappuccio Jr . ( Danielle ), Stephen Cappuccio II ( Coree ) and Anthony Cappuccio ( Deanne Elkin ); and 10 great-grandchildren .
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday , October 30 , 2021 at 11 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church of St . Anthony of Padua , 285 Route 206 in Hammonton . Entombment was private . In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to St . Jude ’ s Children ’ s Hospital , 501 St . Jude Place , Memphis , TN 38105 .

Joel Alan Spiegel

Joel Alan Spiegel , 72 , of Folsom , N . J ., passed away peacefully at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania surrounded by his loved ones on Friday , October 22 , 2021 after a courageous eight-month battle with cancer .
He had the opportunity to say “ goodbye ” to so many people , including his beloved grandchildren , friends and family . Joel was born in New York City and spent the first four years of his life living in Easton , Pa . and the remainder of his childhood in Carteret , N . J . He attended Drexel University where he played football , majored in commerce and engineering and was a member of Alpha Pi Lambda (“ Apple Pi ”) fraternity where he made many lifelong friends . He worked as an industrial / manufacturing engineer for several companies including 3M in Thorofare where he worked for 21 years , and later reinvented himself as a packaging engineer and worked for Kimble Glass and Wheaton Science Products in Millville until his retirement . He was an avid New York Giants and Philadelphia Flyers fan . Joel was a devoted American Red Cross blood donor . He served on the Great Egg Harbor River Council and the Folsom Borough Environmental Planning Commission and Planning and Zoning board , and he was named Folsom ’ s 2016 Citizen of the Year . He coached youth sports and was an active member of the Alpha Pi Lambda Alumni Association . He volunteered for the United Way of Cape May County , the Shoprite LPGA Classic , and generously supported many other charitable causes . Some of his most cherished memories included the many years he spent with his daughters in a YMCA father-daughter organization . But one of his greatest joys in life was being “ Poppa ” to his grandchildren , Quinn and Sasha . They filled his last years with so much love . Joel lived his life with no regrets . In a video he made the day before he passed away , Joel shared these important words : “ Friends and family are everything - remember that .” Joel is predeceased by his parents , Alfred and Nettie . He is survived by his loving wife , Mary Beth ( Eisenlohr ) Spiegel ; his daughters , Beth Ann ( Michael ) and Kimberly ; his grandchildren , Quinn and Sasha ; his brother , Mark ; his sister , Shari Kingman ; and extended family .
In lieu of flowers , the family requests that you consider donating blood to the American Red Cross in Joel ’ s honor , or making a contribution to Penn Medicine Lung Cancer Research , c / o Penn Medicine Development Office , 3535 Market Street , Suite 750 , Philadelphia , PA 19104 . Gathering took place on Saturday , October 30 , 2021 from 1 p . m . to 3 p . m . followed by a service and celebration of life , at Wimberg Funeral Home , 400 Liverpool Avenue , Egg Harbor City , ( 609 ) 965-0357 . HAMMONTON — An alleged burglary at a fast food establishment was reported on October 21 at 5:03 a . m . on the 100 block of S . White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ), Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Video showed at 7:44 p . m . the previous evening , a subject unlocked the door of the business and removed $ 350 in cash from the business , Friel said .
“ The subject is described as a male wearing a dark hoodie with black sneakers and a face covering ,” Friel said . Anyone with any information should contact the Hammonton Police Department at ( 609 ) 561- 4000 , Friel said .

Police make DWI arrest

POLICE , from Page 1
The accused subject was Nicole Papadopoulos , 18 , of Hammonton , who was found to have failed to yield right-of-way causing an impact in the intersection of 12th Street and Chew Road , Friel said .
“ She was found to have been operating the vehicle under the influence ,” Friel said .
Friel said Papadopoulos was transported to the AtlantiCare Satellite Emergency Department for treatment and was charged with the following motor vehicle violations : Driving while under the influence , reckless driving , careless driving , failure to possess insurance card , disregard of stop sign , open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain lane of travel .
Officer Kyle Ambrozaitis was the investigating and arresting officer , Friel said . Papadopoulos was released as per John ’ s Law pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
In other police news , at 11:45 a . m . on October 20 , a woman was arrested on an NCIC warrant on the 700 block of S . White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ), Friel said .
Jacquilin Kane , 25 , of Hammonton was taken into custody , processed and transported to the Atlantic County Jail , Friel said .
Officer Eric Pohl was the arresting officer , Friel said .
