HaMMONtON—the Greater
Chamber of Commerce, Main-
Street Hammonton and the eagle
theatre each received grants from
the State of New Jersey Depart-
ment of travel and tourism ac-
cording to a press release from the
town.
Grants were awarded in the fol-
lowing amounts: eagle theatre
$21,500, Greater Hammonton
Chamber of Commerce $19,750,

Walking tour
November 4
HaMMONtON—the Ham-
monton Historic Preservation
Commission is leading two guided
Historic Walking trail tours. the
first one will be held on Saturday,
November 4 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
the second tour will be held De-
cember 2 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. all
participants will meet at the eagle
theatre, 208 Vine Street, at 1 p.m.
sharp.
the walking tours will include
stops in both the historic commer-
cial and the historic residential dis-
tricts of downtown Hammonton.
Participants will learn about the
unique historical architectural fea-
tures of each building, as well as in-
teresting facts and details about the
early downtown businesses.
