On the morning of October 21, students at Hammonton High School participated in the “Teens and Trucks” program. The program is designed to teach young drivers how to properly react and control the situation when driving close to large trucks or buses. The event took place during Operation Safe Driver Week, a weeklong seminar that aims to correct dangerous driving behaviors through enforcement campaign and educational outreach. It teaches teens everything: the “no-zone” and the blind spots and the no texting while driving. If we save one life today by teaching this program, then we made a difference.
