Capella Sr., 83, of Hammonton died peacefully on Oc- tober 20, 2019. He was married to Nina, deceased, for 56 years and was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Surviving him are four children, Anthony Capella, Jr. (Lisa), Rev. Fr. Joseph Capella (Rector, Camden Catholic High School), Paul Capella (Coleen) and Annlouise Capella (Francis) and several grand and great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, October 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church, 220 Third St., Hammonton, with funeral Mass to follow at 7 p.m. at the church on Friday evening. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a second visitation with the family on Saturday morning, October 26, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church with closing prayers and burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Born in Lemoyne, Pa., she graduated from Trinity High School in 1968. Before retiring she worked as a Registered Nurse at Virtua Health System in Marlton. She was a former member of the Shamong Township School Board and the Shamong Township PTA. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Gene Shulman; son, Eric (wife Katie and grandson Jaxson); daughter, Elysia; brothers, Mike D’Angelo (Janet), Tom D’Angelo (Julie-deceased), Jim D’Angelo (Deb); her sister, Kathy (deceased) and brother, Bob D’An- gelo (Gail); her nephews and nieces, Michael D’Angelo, Tony D’An- gelo (Chris), Michele Minter (Shane), PJ Lippi, David D’Angelo (Caitlyn), Marie Schult (Andrew), Becky D’Angelo, Tori D’Angelo and “many loving friends and neighbors, (you know who you are).” A visitation was held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Carnesale Funeral Home, Hammonton, where a celebration of her life was also held. Ismael Mercado Ismael Mercado, 85, of Hammonton died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, October 14, 2019 at AtlantiCare Regional Med- ical Center in Galloway Twp. Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, he lived in Hammonton for more than 50 years. He formerly worked as a chef at Caesar’s Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and Geet’s Diner in Williamstown. He enjoyed garden- ing, playing dominos and singing, especially Christmas carols. Mercado is predeceased by his wife, Monserrate Mercado and his daughter, Aida. He is survived by his son, Edwin Mercado; two daugh- ters, Lillian Mercado and Elizabeth Mercado; one sister in Puerto Rico, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A viewing was held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Carnesale Funeral Home, Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at St. Mary of Mt. Amanda Brooke-DeStefano Amanda Brooke DeStefano (nee Brining), 33, of Folsom died sud- denly on Sunday, October 13, 2019. She was born in Washington Twp. and was raised in Collings Lakes. Amanda loved to travel, along the way working at Mocha Joe’s Coffee Shop in Jacksonville, N.C., and Wal-Mart in Maryland and in Ham- monton. She loved camping, BBQs, hanging out with her family, es- pecially her nieces, nephew and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Brining. Surviving are her husband, John Edward DeStefano, Jr.; her daughter, Madison DeSte- fano; her mother, Catherine McConkey and husband Scott of Glen Burnie, Md.; brother, Robert Brining of Folsom; maternal grandparents, Young and James Dwyer of Georgia and Ismael Santa of North Carolina. GJ grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1996. He was a dedicated manager of Domino’s Pizza and a beloved member of the T&L transportation family. He always enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His passions were Alice Cooper, camping, cooking, gaming, collecting POP! Figures and comic books. His favorite characters were Batman, Joker and Venom. GJ will be sadly missed by the many lives he touched. Margaret “Marge” Calletta Margaret “Marge” Calletta, 96, died and was reunited with her lov- ing husband of 62 years, Russell J. Calletta, on Friday, October 18, 2019 in the Samaritan Center at Voorhees. Marge was born in Manheim, Germany. She left there as a young child and resided in Hammonton for 65 years. She worked alongside her husband managing the family business, La Crest Cut Glass. She was a diligent homemaker and took pride in raising her family and car- ing for them. SAUSAGE: $ 4 LB. that had run off the roadway,” Friel said. The vehicle, a 2009 Nissan Mu- rano, which had been traveling eastbound on S. Egg Harbor Road, crossed over the center line for some reason and left the roadway in the westbound lane at the inter- section of Moss Mill Road, Friel said. “The vehicle struck three poles and roadway signage before im- pacting with a large tree, which overturned the vehicle. It came to rest on guardrail adjacent to Moss Mill Road,” Friel said. The vehicle is believed to have been occupied by two individuals, one of whom had been ejected from the vehicle, Friel said. Both the driver and the passenger re- ceived injuries, Friel said. One in- dividual was sent to AtlantiCare Atlantic City Division and was treated and released by Atlanti- Care, Friel said. Friel said the other individual, the one who was ejected from the vehicle, was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden. The accident is being investi- gated by Officer Kyle Ambrozaitis and the Atlantic County Prosecu- tor’s Office, Friel said. HPD: Theft from vehicle by Gabe Donio G AZETTE S TAFF W RITER HAMMONTON—A theft from a vehicle was reported to police at 9:42 a.m. on October 17 on the 200 block of Union Road, Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said. The owner of the vehicle re- ported that his New Jersey Firearms Card had been stolen and stated he believed the break-in had occurred three weeks ago, Friel said.
