HAMMONTON—Police arrested and charged Jose Rodriguez, 26, of Hammonton with
various offenses, including possession of 281 bags of a controlled
dangerous substance (cds) believed to be heroin and possession
of a substance believed to be
MDMA, a drug known more commonly as “Molly,” Hammonton

HAMMONTON—On October 13, the Sons of Italy, 1658
Giuseppe Garibaldi Lodge,
held its annual Columbus Day
celebration. Honoring the
town’s proud Italian heritage
and Christopher Columbus’
voyage, there were several
speakers during the event, including United States Con-
gressman Frank LoBiondo and
New Jersey Superior Court
Judge Michael Donio, who is
a resident of Hammonton. Sons
of Italy members David
Scardino and Charlie Sbarra
were the chairs for the celebration.
LoBiondo spoke at the local
Sons of Italy event. LoBiondo
said it was a proud day for all
Italian-Americans.
