Domenico-Kollias graduated in
1992 before moving on to attend
Drexel University and receive her
bachelor’s degree in design and
merchandising that included a
minor in business Administration.
“After I graduated in 1996, I
moved to North Jersey and decided to pursue a career in corpo-
rate fashion and corporate retail.
My first few jobs out of college
were as a buyer for companies like
Polo Ralph Lauren, Delia’s and
Liz Claiborne. I would pick out
the assortments for about 100
stores and do some in house production with the designers. I also
managed the financial piece of the
stores … In 2004, I decided to
make a leap from buying and go
into store line. I was a regional
merchandise manager for Macy’s.
I was responsible for the New Jersey and New York metro area. I
had 18 stores that had a worth of
around $110 million in volume,”
Domenico-Kollias said.
After working for Macy’s for
just over 10 years in the northern
New Jersey area, Domenico-Kollias decided to return to Hammonton to be closer to her family. She
was given a new territory that allowed her to keep her job at
Macy’s. In 2014, a complete company re-structure forced her to
take over stores as far as Scranton,
Pennsylvania.
“I was commuting about 30
hours a week in addition to working 40 to 50. I was gone at least
three days a week. After I got
married, my husband told me, he
thought I should take a little time
off and enjoy some balance in life.
I didn’t work for about 10 months.
I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to
go back to retail or not. My mom
saw this job listed in the church
bulletin and told me she thought
I’d be great at this because she
knew how much I love St. Joe,”
Domenico-Kollias said.
Her new position allows her to
be the overseer of the marketing
and advertising at St. Joseph. She
will be focusing heavily on the recruiting and enrollment process

“The biggest thing for me is extremely fun challenge for me,
coming back to a family. I don’t and there are a ton of good things
