Anne M . DeLaurentis Anne M . ( née Mascarini ) DeLaurentis , died at Legacy House Hospice in Ocala ,
Florida , on August 26 , 2016 .
Anne was born in Parma , Italy , in 1935 . At the age of three , her parents and she immigrated to join the rest of the family in Philadelphia , Pa ., where she spent her life in the East Falls section of the city until she married her husband , Albert , 31 years ago . Anne attended St . Bridget ’ s Elementary School and graduated from J . W . Hallahan Catholic Girls High School . Before her marriage , Anne worked as an Administrative Secretary for several companies in the Philadelphia area . Anne and Albert first lived in Hammonton and then moved to Ocala , Fla .
She was predeceased by her beloved husband , Albert . She is survived by her three stepchildren and several cousins .
Anne ’ s ashes will be interred with Albert in a private ceremony at the Florida National Cemetery for Veterans in Florida . There will be a Mass celebrated in her memory at her parish church Queen of Peace in Ocala on October 18 , 2016 , at 8:30 a . m .

Robert F . Levitsky
Robert F . Levitsky , 89 , of Margate City , died peacefully on Tuesday , September 13 , 2016 .
Born and raised in Shenandoah , Pa ., he served in the U . S . Navy during World War II . He later went on to work for the Federal Government in management positions at the United States Marine Corps and the Defense Personnel Support Center in Philadelphia , Pa .
He graduated from Temple University and was a passionate fan of Temple football and basketball as well as the Phillies and Eagles . He most enjoyed spending time with his family , especially his grandchildren .
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years , Charlotte ; his children , Robert Levitsky ( Donna ) of Douglassville , Pa ., Lorraine Levitsky of Phila ., Pa ., and Susan Chille ( Joe ) of Folsom ; his brother , Edward Levitsky ( Bernie ) of Breinigsville , Pa .; his sister , Christine Kitch of Harrisburg , Pa .; his grandchildren , Courtney Levitsky ( Brian King ), Christopher and Nicholas Chille .
Family and friends attended his Funeral Service on Saturday , September 17 at Marinella Funeral Home , 102 N . Third St ., Hammonton , NJ . Burial was in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery , 109 Blvd Rt . 50 , Estell Manor , NJ .

Helen K . Sims , 84 , of Hammonton , died peacefully with her family at her side in Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly on Friday , September 16 , 2016 .
Born in Trion , Georgia , she lived in this area for many years . Mrs . Sims worked for Lenox China for more than 25 years . She was a member of the Glass , Pottery , Plastics and Allied Workers International Union .
She was predeceased by her husband , James Calvin Sims and her granddaughter , Lisa J . DePalma . Mrs . Sims is survived by her daughter and son-in-law , Marie and Henry Mortelliti of Hammonton ; her brother , the Reverend John Mann of Lyerly , Ga .; her sister , Lula Hughes of Sommerville , Ga .; her grandson , John Mortelliti and his wife , Michelle ; her grandson-in-law , Louis T . DePalma ; four great-grandchildren , Kirsten Mortelliti and her fiancé , Kyle Ambrozaitis , Justin Mortelliti , Giovanni DePalma and Dante De-

Schenk said it is going to be a fun day at the lake park .
“ There is no Eagles game on October 2 . We thought it would be a great day in the fall ,” Schenk said .
Kiwanis Club Chicken Barbecue Chairman and future vice president Mary Young and other Kiwanis Club members are working hard to organize what ’ s sure to be a very special day for all who attend .
“ We have many family-fun events planned for a full day of activities ,” Young said .
Those activities will include a build-your-own-scarecrow station , hayrides and live music .
“ Families can make and take their own scarecrow home for display . Kiwanis will provide form , clothes and hay for stuffing . We will also offer a Happy Hay Ride around the baseball field dirt track . There will be several different scenes to enjoy during their ride . Scenes will be provided by local community organization . Two of our club members , George Hummel of InSeries and Jimmy Italiano of Maplewood Band will be providing live music from 2 p . m . to 7 p . m . In true Hammonton tradition , we couldn ’ t have a festival without also having an Italian finger competition coordinated by Tom Ricca ,” Young said .
Children will also be able to build their own scarecrows . A form will be provided . Kids will be able to take their scarecrows home with them . There is no charge .
The annual Kiwanis Club Chicken Barbecue will take place from noon to 7 p . m ., so make sure you bring your appetite . There will also be a children ’ s meal and two sandwiches offered for those interested . All of the catered food will be provided by Columbia II .
Members of the Hammonton Rotary Club are hopeful that their request for a beer garden will be approved before the event , which would allow them to serve alcoholic beverages within an enclosed area . According to Hammonton Rotary Club President Joseph Brown , town council will be voting on the issue on September 26 .
Brown said the beer garden will be open from noon to 7 p . m . Beers will be sold for $ 5 each .
“ Kiwanis came to us . They wanted to beef up their event because of the Hammonton Sesquicentennial . Originally , on October 16 , we were going to have an event , but we decided to put it all together ,” Brown said .
The Woman ’ s Civic Club is sponsoring craft vendors who will be selling all types of gift items , which will make for amazing gifts as the holiday season approaches .
“ We have over 20 vendors coming , and we are working on more ,” Woman ’ s Civic Club President Linda Bucci said . Bucci is also a member of the Kiwanis Club .
Hammonton High School Key Club members will be selling homemade desserts throughout the day .

Kiwanis Chicken BBQ set for Oct . 2
The highlight of the event will be a fireworks display that will begin at 7 p . m . The fireworks , which are being sponsored by the Hammonton Sesquicentennial Committee , are being set off to make up for the cancellation of the display on July 4 .
“ We hope the community comes out to support this great event full of family fun , great food , music and , of course , fireworks ,” Young said .

New town exhibit at Kramer Hall
HAMMONTON — The public is invited to see Hammonton : 150 Years of Agriculture , an exhibit that celebrates the town ’ s farming roots , hosted by Stockton University ’ s Kramer Hall instructional site .
The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University has partnered with Stockton University faculty and staff , the South Jersey Culture and History Center , and the Town of Hammonton to present two exhibitions celebrating the town ’ s Sesquicentennial . The newest exhibition highlighting agriculture is now open and will run until December 31 .
This exhibition at Kramer Hall , 30 Front St . in downtown Hammonton , showcases artifacts , documents , photographs and artists ’ interpretations related to the topic of agriculture .
The first exhibition highlighted the many industries that were prevalent in Hammonton during the past 150 years .
