HAMMONTON—The Hammonton School district and its administration are gearing up for another academic school year, which begins after the Labor Day holiday weekend. The Early Childhood Education Center and Warren E. Sooy Jr. Elementary school have similar plans, changes and goals for

HAMMONTON—Fred Melendez of the Puerto Rican Civic Association (PRCA) came before town council on August 26 to discuss the need for a bilingual police officer on the Hammonton Police force.
“My main issue is that around five years ago we had three bi-lingual police officers in town. Unfortunately in the last three or four years we lost them all, I would like to request that all our efforts be made to hire a bilingual officer,” Melendez said.
