Two men arrested in theft

HaMMONTON—Two men
were arrested in connection with a
theft on the 100 block of S. Washington Street at 1:32 p.m. on august 26, Hammonton Police Lt.
Kevin friel said.
Charles Perna, 27, of Hammonton was arrested and charged with
criminal mischief, criminal trespass and theft, friel said. Brian
Siligato, 40, of Hammonton was
arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, friel said.
“a washer and dryer were taken
and copper was stolen from the
basement,” friel said.
Both men were released pending
a court date, friel said.
Cpl. John Panarello was the investigating officer, friel said.

Masonic Lodge, at the corner of
Central avenue and Peach Street,
near the grounds of St. Joseph
High School, where the Green
Day event will be held.

police received a call in reference
to a parent from applefield Loop
in Plymouth Place apartments
calling about a juvenile who had
allegedly given Steven Louis, 25,
of Hammonton $100 for a narcotics transaction, friel said.
“Mr. Louis advised that he gave
the money to a subject who lives in
Plymouth Place and he left the
area,” friel said.
Louis was found to have three
active warrants totaling $1,789, including $500 from Mullica Twp.,
$789 from folsom, and $500 from
Camden, friel said. Louis was arrested and placed in the atlantic
County Jail, friel said.
Officer Kevin Sloan was the arresting officer, friel said.
• On august 28 at 10:54 p.m. at
the intersection of Main and Plymouth roads Pamela Parkhurst,
45, of Sweetwater was stopped and
found to have an active warrant
from Waterford Twp. in the
amount of $500, she posted a bail
amount and was released pending
a court appearance in Waterford
Twp., friel said.
Class ii Officer Kyle ambrozaitis was the arresting officer,
friel said.
in other police news, Paul
Castilla, 31, of Hammonton, reported that he had $200 and a Kindle fire tablet stolen from his
vehicle, friel said. The theft was
reported at 10:56 p.m. on august
26, friel said.
“it [the car] was parked near the
corner of railroad avenue and Orchard Street. The vehicle was unlocked at the time,” friel said.
K-9 Officer robert zbikowski is
investigating the theft, friel said.

several warrant arrests last week,
including the following, Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin friel said.
• On august 26 at 4:16 p.m., police received an anonymous thirdparty call in reference to a
disturbance inside a residence on
the 100 block of S. Second Street,
friel said.
“Police did not find a disturbance but found that the occupant
of the dwelling, Kenneth Danley,
53, of Hammonton had warrants
totaling $750 from Winslow Twp.
and Waterford Twp.,” friel said.
He was released on his own recognizance with a new court date,
friel said.
