The Puerto Rican flag was raised in front of Hammonton Town Hall on August 30. by Kevin Troilo Gazette Staff Writer HaMMonton—the Puerto rican Civil association (PrCa) kicked off its weeklong festival on the afternoon of august 30 with a flag raising ceremony held at Hammonton town Hall. association members gathered and joined hundreds of their friends and family members in the sun where both community members and PrCa leaders spoke to the crowds before the flags were raised. Prior to the ceremony, a Spanish Mass was held at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church. Groups of participants then proceeded up third Street to the town hall on Central avenue as music played on their way to town hall. the parking lot at town Hall was filled with colorful Jeeps owned by members of Los fujitivos Jeep Club.
