Marjorie L . Gosney
Marjorie L . Gosney ( nee Gurney ), 99 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away peacefully Thursday , August 19 , 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side .
She was born in Boston . After graduating from Newton High School , Marjorie enlisted in the U . S . Navy ( Waves ) as a Special Recruiter Second Class during World War II . She met her Army husband of 53 years at a military dinner in Baltimore . Marjorie worked many years as a part-time bookkeeper . She retired from John S . Sabatino Architects in Philadelphia . As a member of the Presbyterian Church of Hammonton , Marjorie was active in the Hand Bell choir and the personnel and finance committees . Marjorie loved to travel especially to New Zealand to visit family . She was an accomplished artist and painted many family pictures . She also enjoyed knitting , crocheting and playing cards .
She is predeceased by her husband , Luther S . Gosney ; her son , Charles L . Gosney ; and parents , Walter and Lucy Gurney .
Marjorie is survived by her son , Gary B . Gosney and his wife Lee of Leland , N . C . and her daughter , Elizabeth E . Mazzone of Hammonton , N . J .
She is the loving grandmother of Judi Gosney ( David Smith ), Michael Gosney ( Cristy ), Lois Gosney ( Robin Doddridge ), Matthew Gosney , Gary Mazzone , Benjamin Gosney and Adam Gosney . She is the great-grandmother of Jessica Smith , Ryan Smith , Angus Doddridge , Ava Doddridge and Owen Gosney .
The family will be having a private burial and celebration of Marjorie ’ s life . Eleanor M . Vlasics
Eleanor M . Vlasics , 93 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away peacefully on Sunday , August 22 , 2021 , surrounded by her family .
Born in Blue Anchor , N . J . she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Maria ( Castaldi ) Fiorentino . For many years she worked for White Hall Pharmaceutical Laboratories as a machine finisher . In her leisure time she would enjoy cooking for her family , watching cooking shows on television , traveling and taking trips to the casinos . She would also enjoy the times she would spend chatting with her family and friends .
In addition to her parents , she is predeceased by her sisters , Frances Reber , Angie Silipino , Mary Mauriello and Helen DeMayo ; brother , John Fiorentino ; and nephews , Sonny Silipino and Danny DeMayo .
She is survived by her husband of 43 years , George Vlasics ; her sister in-law , Helen , along with many nieces , nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and many dear friends .
Relatives and friends attended her Mass of Christian Burial 11 a . m . on Thursday , August 26 , 2021 at Christ the Redeemer Sacred Heart Church 119 North Route 73 Cedar Brook , N . J . Interment followed at the church cemetery . In lieu of flowers , donations in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor ’ s choice .

Marcella Jane Reeser
Marcella Jane Reeser ( nee Briggs ), 100 , passed away Saturday , August 21 , 2021 at the Philadelphia Protestant Home .
She was born in Montrose , Pa . and lived in Hammonton , N . J . for over 50 years . A graduate of Georgetown High School , ( Georgetown , Del .) she married her sweetheart , Floyd H . Reeser in 1946 . She was a skilled professional photo and oil paint retoucher and colored in photos . She was a Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts leader , taught Sunday School and volunteered to serve with numerous church activities .
Marcella is survived by her sons , Floyd L ., David J ., Paul W . and daughter , Jane C . Fadden . She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren .
Relatives and friends attended a memorial service on Saturday , August 28 , 1 p . m ., at John E . Stiles Funeral Home , 2450 Huntingdon Pike , Huntingdon Valley , Pa . Burial was private . Memorial gifts may be made to Samaritan ’ s Purse , P . O . Box 3000 , Boone , NC 28607 .

HAMMONTON — A suspicious person call made to police at 12:24 p . m . on August 26 became a shoplifting arrest , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .

Friel said Officer Travis Hoffman , when checking for the accused vehicle , observed a white Nissan Sentra cross over the center line and begin traveling southbound in the north lane of travel on Bellevue Avenue .

The arrest was made on the prime block of N . White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ) at a local convenience store , Friel said .
Friel said Charles Weinberger , 47 , of North Wildwood went into the convenience store and took three items of merchandise without paying for them .
He was placed under arrest ,
a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the intersections at Bellevue Avenue and Third Street as well as Bellevue Avenue and Egg Harbor Road , Friel said .
Friel said the vehicle was finally stopped on Route 54 near Mays Landing Road in Folsom .
Nikkiya James , 25 , of Philadelphia , was arrested , taken into custody , transported to police
