ST. JOE, from Page 1
This school year, students at
St. Joseph Elementary School
will be treated to an updated curriculum in certain areas, thanks
to hard work by teachers and administration.
“The Office of Catholic
Schools of the Diocese of Camden has worked in conjunction
with Notre Dame University
through the ACE Collaborative
and in conjunction with the
teachers of the Diocese to update
the curriculum in our Catholic
Schools. Math and science have
been revised, and over the past
year, the Language Arts Curriculum revisions have been in
process. The final document
will be complete this school
year. Our teachers are also working in concert with The Penn Literacy Network to enhance this
curriculum effort,” Takacs said.
There will also be technological improvements in the classroom in the upcoming school
year, in the form of Chromebooks.
“During the 2016-17 school
year in addition to our regular
technology program, we will introduce our students to Chromebooks in the classroom.
Professional development will
be provided to our faculty to
maximize their use,” Takacs
said.
