William H . Davis III , 74 , of Folsom , died on Tuesday , August 23 , 2016 , at Virtua Hospital in Marlton .
Born in Hackensack , he lived in Folsom for more than 40 years . Bill retired from Acme Markets in Philadelphia as a Warehouse Supervisor for more than 28 years . He served in the U . S Air Force and did a tour of Germany .
William was predeceased by his parents , William and Rita Davis ; his brother , John Davis and his sister , Eileen Moncalieri . He is survived by his loving wife , Patricia Ann ( nee DeCristofaro ); his children , William H . Davis IV ( Cathleen ) of Folsom , Darren ( Tracey ) of Northfield , Laura Grasso ( Michael ) of Cedar Brook , and Colleen Rauh ( Joseph ) of Williamstown ; his three sisters , Rosemary Schiller of Florida , Dolores Davis of Washington and Rita Schurich of Cedar Brook ; his grandchildren , Alyssa , Joseph and Colin Rauh and Amanda Davis . Burial will be private at the convenience of the family . In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Humane Society of Atlantic County ,

Joseph A . Olive
Joseph A . Olive , 83 , died peacefully at home on August 25 , 2016 .
He was born in Hammonton , where he lived most of his life . He attended Hammonton schools and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1950 . He then attended Camden Commercial School to obtain his accounting license . He worked in his profession until 2012 when he retired . He was well-known in the community and involved in many activities . Joe was Past President of the St . John the Baptist Society . He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council 3471 , having been past Grand Knight . He was a charter member of St . Vincent Pallotti General Assembly , having been Past Faithful Navigator . He worked with the Columbian Squires for 22 years , having been Chief Counselor with Don Bosco Circle 863 . He served three times as State Chairman with the Columbian Squires . Joe was a former member of the St . Joseph ’ s Parish Holy Name Society , St . Joseph ’ s Parish Council , St . Vincent de Paul Society and the Ecumenical Church Council of Hammonton . Professionally , Joe was a member of AFTP of NJ , a State Society as a trustee , Past President of the local accountant society , a member of NATP and a member of the National Society of Accountants . He was also an Enrolled Agent with the IRS .
Joseph was predeceased by his parents , Antonino and Josephine Olive ; his sister , Marie Tassone and an infant brother . He is survived by his wife , Barbara ; his children , Joseph and his wife , Gretchen , and Jennifer ; his grandchildren , Grace and Joseph .
Family and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday , August 29 at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish – St . Joseph Church , Third and French streets , Hammonton , NJ . Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery , 124 S . First Rd . Hammonton , NJ .
Donations can be made in his memory to the St Vincent de Paul Society , St Jude Children ’ s Hospital in Tennessee or the Filippini Sisters at St . Joseph ’ s Convent at 219 N 3rd Street in Hammonton , NJ .

Matthew A . Guzman
Matthew A . Guzman , 23 , of Buena , died suddenly on Saturday , August 27 , 2016 .
Born in Galloway , he was a lifelong South Jersey resident . Matt was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 2012 . He was a carpenter at Park Avenue Construction of Glassboro . Matt loved carpentry , fishing , sports and spending time with family . He would light up a room with his smile . Matt was a kind and generous friend to all . He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need . He cared for family , friends and strangers ; regardless of the need , he would be there to help .
Matt was predeceased by his grandmother , Lluela Chatten ; his grandfather , Maximino Guzman and his stepmother , Barbara LaManna . He is survived by his father , Jeff Guzman of Buena ; his mother , Linda Rivera and her husband , Larry of Richland ; his paternal grandmother , Patricia Guzman of Reading , Pa .; his brother , Jeffrey Guzman Jr . and his wife , Tina Guzman of Kansas ; his step-brother , Nick Lotierzo of Absecon ; his two sisters , Clara Formoso of South Carolina and Gabriella LaManna of Hammonton ; his adopted mother , Debbie Briggs of Sicklerville ; his two nephews , Holden and Leo ; his niece , Jersey ; his uncles , Maximino Guzman of Sinking Spring , Pa ., Anthony Guzman of Florida and Raymond Guzman of Rutherford , NJ ; his aunts , Karen Colon of Sinking Spring , Pa ., and Barbara Borsch of Egg Harbor ; his girlfriend , Meg Moore and many other loving aunts , uncles , cousins and friends .
Funeral Services will be held Friday , Sept . 2 , 2016 , 1 p . m ., at the Abundant Living Church , 849 Route 54 , Buena Vista Township , where a viewing will be held from 10 a . m . until 1 p . m . Burial will be at the convenience of the family .
In lieu of flowers , memorial donations may be made to the Maryville , 1903 Grant Ave ., Williamstown , NJ 08094 .

HAMMONTON — A kitten that had been taken in and cared for by a Hammonton couple has been confirmed as Atlantic County ’ s ninth rabies case of the year .
The Atlantic County Division of Public Health reports that the couple ’ s outdoor cat brought home three kittens in June that were cared for by a couple living on
Bermudez and PRCA Secretary Lilliam Pagan welcomed the crowd and thanked everyone for coming to the ceremony .

Washington Street . One kitten became ill and was taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment on August 18 . It displayed neurological symptoms consistent with rabies and soon died . It was confirmed positive for rabies by the state lab on August 24 .
This is the second confirmation of the viral disease in a cat this
Marie A . Rasmussen
Marie A . Rasmussen , 82 , of Winslow , died on Friday , August 26 , 2016 , in Virtua Health Systems in Marlton .
Born in Philadelphia , she lived in Winslow most of her life . She retired from the housekeeping department at Ancora Hospital where she worked for 40 years . Mrs . Rasmussen was very devoted to her family . Her greatest joy was spending time with them and doing things for them .
She was predeceased by her husband , Jacob Rasmussen . Mrs . Rasmussen is survived by her two daughters , Ruthanne McGowan of Sicklerville and Joan Gills and her husband , Robert of Waterford ; her four grandchildren , Robert Gills Jr . and his Siobhan , Sarah Gills and her husband , Ronald , Elizabeth Carney and her husband , Reginald , and Melissa Fischer ; and her seven great-grandchildren .
Funeral Services will be held , Thursday , Sept . 1 , 2016 , 11:30 a . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Kitten confirmed as 9th rabies case
Beatrice Wescoat
Beatrice Wescoat , 81 , of Laurel Lakes , died on Friday , August 26 , 2016 , at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland .
Born in Bulltown , she was formerly a longtime resident of Nesco . Before retiring , she worked at Goodwill Industries and , prior to that , at Deer Park Baking Company both in Hammonton . She enjoyed crabbing , birdwatching and her dogs .
She was predeceased by her husband , Charles Wescoat ; her daughter , Terry Vaughn and son-in-law , George H . Vaughn Sr . She is survived by one son , Charles J . Wescoat ; four grandchildren , Krystle Zinkevich ( Tom ), Mary Beth Wescoat , George H . Vaughn Jr . ( Melissa ) and Tegan D . Vaughn ; three great-grandchildren , Jase , Lita and Rachel ; and one sister , Janet Webb .
Family and friends attended Funeral Services on Tuesday , August 30 , 2016 , at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third Street in Hammonton . Burial followed at Batsto- Pleasant Mills Cemetery .

An investigation by the Division of Public Health determined that the couple was exposed to the kitten ’ s saliva and scratches while under its care and has been advised to seek post-exposure treatment . Thirteen cats that were living at the couple ’ s home may also have been exposed . Vaccination records are incomplete at this time . Further monitoring and investigation is ongoing .
Rabies is a viral disease that can be fatal if left untreated . Atlantic County reported eight rabies cases in 2015 among bats , skunks , raccoons and a fox . Pet owners are advised to protect their pets with a rabies vaccination .
Delorse Jean Housler
Delorse Jean Housler , 83 , of Hammonton , formerly of Vineland , died on August 28 , 2016 .
Delorse loved spending time with her family , especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren . She worked most of her life in the banking industry and enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles . She was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor .
She was predeceased by her son , David Allen ; her granddaughter , Courtney Allen and son-in-law , Stephen Rooney . She is survived by her sons , Joseph Allen ( Michele ), James Allen and Kevin Allen ( Julie ); her daughters , Susan Allen and Nancy Rooney , with whom she resided ; Robert Allen ( Linda ) who was like a son to her ; her grandchildren , Joseph Allen III , Shannon Caruso ( Frank ), Monica Allen , Stephanie Pistone ( Chris ), Sara Verrillo ( Rich ), Kevin Allen Jr . and Justin Allen ; and her great-grandchildren , Jayden Allen , Hannah Allen and Gia Pistone ; her sisters , Hattie , Linda and Patty and her brother , Ed .
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday , September 1 , 9:30 a . m ., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , St . Joseph Church Third & French streets , Hammonton . Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery .
