Russell P. Clark
russell P. Clark, 79, of Hammonton, died Monday, August 27, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Philadelphia, he was an area resident all his life. He is predeceased by his parents
earl and Mary (Macrie) Clark.
He was a third generation farmer as the owner operator of Green Mount farms and Mar-
ket in Hammonton. russell served as mayor of Hamm onton for five consecutive terms,
from 1973 to 1983, a record in town history. He also served as a member of Hammonton
Town Council for seven terms. During his tenure in office russell served on numerous mu-
nicipal and council committees. russell was a member of the NJ farm Bureau Association,
past president of Atlantic Board of Agriculture, and past president of Atlantic County League
of Municipalities, where served on its executive board. russell served on the Atlantic
County Mayor’s Association and a past president. russell was a member of the Hammonton
Knights of Columbus and usher at St. Martin’s Church. There he served as a former Scout
leader for Pack 60. russell was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society, walking
in each annual procession.
russell enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Never There Gun Club.
Lastly and for most, russell’s greatest joys were his family, his farm and riding around town
visiting and conversing with fellow farmers and friends who fondly called him “Clarkie.”
russell is survived by his wife, Patricia, two sons, russell P Jr. and his wife, Monica;
Gregory and his wife, renee; one daughter, Cynthia and her husband, richard Blasberg all
of Hammonton; four grandchildren, richard Blasberg iii (Mary), emily Clark, Devon Blas-
berg and Gregory Clark.
relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing this evening, August 29 from 6-9
p.m. at the Marinella funeral Home, 102 N. 3rd Street, Hammonton. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 10 a.m. at St Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish—
St. Joseph Church, Third & french Streets, Hammonton. entombment will follow at Holy
Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, N J. Donations in his memory may made be made to
St.Jude research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 as well as the
eternal Word Television Network (eWTN), 5817 Old Leeds road, irondale, AL 35210.

Anthony P. Mortelliti
Anthony P. Mortelliti, 92, of Hammonton died suddenly on Wednes-
day, August 22, 2018 in AtlantiCare regional Medical Center, Mainland
Division.
Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Mortelliti was a
retired crane operator for Pennsylvania reading Seashore Lines. He was
a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens serving as their president
since 1988. Mr. Mortelliti also belonged to the Hammonton republican
Club, was the Past Union President of the Brotherhood of Maintenance
of Way Lodge #3063 and served as an usher at St. Anthony of Padua
Church.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Angelina rebardo, frances Kovshuk, Anna Terruso
and Theresa Nemec. Mr. Mortelliti is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen A. Mortelliti
(nee Silipena); one son, John H. Mortelliti and his wife Lisa of Hummelstown, Pa.; one
brother, Henry Mortelliti (Marie) of Hammonton; two sisters, Grace Houser of Penns Grove
and Louise DeCamp of Devonshire; his brothers and sisters in-law, Catherine Cristieno of
Audubon, Dorothy and fred Cassetta, Arthur and Grace Silipena all of Hammonton, Harry
Silipena of florida; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Mary of
Mt. Carmel Parish—St. Anthony of Padua rC Church, Hammonton. Burial followed in
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Memorial Donations may be made to Deborah
Hospital foundation, 20 Pine Mill road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.

Maria Reyes
Maria reyes, 69, of Hammonton died friday, August 23, 2018 at her
home.
Born in Cidra, Puerto rico she lived in Hammonton for 50 years. She
formerly worked in the food service department at Ancora Hospital.
Maria was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Cursillo in Hammonton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jaime reyes Jr. Maria is sur-
vived by her six children, Jaime reyes Jr. and his spouse Cassandra,
Marisol zingrone and her spouse Charles Sr., Veronica rodriguez, Yajaira
Borrero, Jeremy Borrero and Kasandra Acevedo; three sisters, emilia
Baez, eduarda Baez and Maria ramos; two brothers, Josian Baez and
Luis Baez; four grandchildren, Michael zingrone, Luis rodriguez, Andrew rodriguez and
Brianna rodriguez.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in St. Mary of
Mt. Carmel Parish—St. Joseph Church, Hammonton. entombment followed in Greenmount
Cemetery, Hammonton.

Cruisin’ MainStreet
scheduled for Sept. 7
HAMMONTON—MainStreet Hammonton will hold the 25th Annual
Cruisin’ MainStreet: Hammonton remembers friday Nights on friday,
September 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in down-
town Hammonton. The rain date is sched-
uled for September 8.
“We had to cancel our Cruisin’ Main-
Street event in May due to rain on both
days so we figured we should try again in September since this is a very
popular tradition in downtown Hammonton,” event chair Angela Donio
said.
Hundreds of classic cars will fill the streets of Downtown Hammon-
ton, in one of the most unique and family-filled classic car shows in the
state. Cruisin’ MainStreet offers a nostalgic glimpse of yesteryear by
celebrating the ‘50s that includes bubble-gum blowing and hula-hoop
contests. There will be plenty of food, in-store specials and fun for the
entire family.

Angel Torres,
55, of Winslow
died on Saturday,

Samaritan Hospice
Center in Voorhees.
Born in Cayey,
Puerto rico he was
a
resident
of
Winslow most of
his life. Angel had
worked for egg
Harbor Boat Com-
pany and Whitehall Laboratories. He en-
joyed fishing, craft building, carpentry, the
beach, camping, sitting by the campfire,
and the outdoors.
He was predeceased by his parents,
Pablo and Providencia Torres; his brothers,
Jose and Carlos Torres; and his sister-in-
law, Lillian Torres. He is survived by his
brothers and sisters, Manuel Torres, Her-
minio Torres (Vilma), Julio Torres (Car-
men), Maria Aponte (Angel), Paul Torres
(Lydia), robert Torres (Lucy), Gladys
reyes (ramon), and Carmen Torres (Pete)
and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
