HaMMONTON—Heavy rains
led to the collapse of a basement
wall and the displacement of a
family who later received the aid
of the american red Cross, Hammonton Police Captain Nick Salvatore said. The damage occurred

at 11:43 p.m. on august 12, Salvatore said.
“The cellar wall collapsed
under the flooding, and allowed
heavy water and drainage to flood
the basement of the residence. Police and fire responded and determined that their safety was in
jeopardy and they could not remain,” Salvatore said.
The american red Cross was
contacted and they assisted them
with their relocation, Salvatore
said.
Officer Jared Baglivo and the
Hammonton Volunteer fire Department are investigating the incident, Salvatore said.

was reported to police at 8 a.m. on
august 11, Salvatore said.

13th Street reported someone
physically entered the residence.
Nothing was reported missing at
the time of the report,” Salvatore
said.
Class ii Officer Kyle ambrozaitis is investigating, Salvatore said.
Police made the following warrant arrests last week, Salvatore
said.

White Horse Pike (route 30), following a car stop, Joseph DiGioa
Jr., 48, of elmer was arrested, Salvatore said.
“During the car stop it was discovered that he had a warrant in
the amount of $1,198 from Hamilton Twp.,” Salvatore said.
