Margaret E . Johnson ( nee Johns ), 77 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away Wednesday August 11 , 2021 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway , N . J
Ṁargaret was born and raised in Egg Harbor City , N . J . She married Richard B . Johnson and helped out in the family business , Chester ’ s Hardware in Hammonton for many years . She was active in the First United Methodist Church of Hammonton serving in the Ladies Auxiliary and singing in the choir .
She is predeceased by her husband , Richard B . Johnson ; parents , Norman and Margaret Johns ; along with several brothers and sisters .
She is survived by her three sons , Jefery of Hammonton , N . J ., Richard of Mays Landing , N . J ., Robert and his wife Elizabeth of Hammonton , N . J . and her brother Robert Johns of Mullica Twp ., N . J . Margaret is the loving grandmother of Jefery , Justin , Matthew , Ryan and Sean Johnson and great-grandmother of Amelia , Eva and Hudson .
Family and friends attended her viewing Saturday , August 14 from 9:30 a . m . to 11 a . m . followed by services at 11 a . m . at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N . Third St . Hammonton , N . J . Burial followed at Egg Harbor City Cemetery .

Frank L . Domenico Sr .
Frank L . Domenico Sr ., 93 , of Hammonton passed away peacefully Saturday , August 14 , 2021 with his daughter by his side .
He was born and raised in Hammonton and went on to serve in the U . S Army during World War II . After his discharge , he married the love of his life Dorothy Bottino in 1949 . He retired from the Atlantic County Dept . of Public Works as a Traffic Unit Supervisor . He was a member of the Hammonton Canoe Club .
Frank is predeceased by his loving wife , Dorothy ( nee Bottino ); his son , Frank L . Domenico Jr .; his parents , Nunzio and Teresa ; and siblings , Joseph , Sam , Nick , Louis , Tony , Nein , John , Marie , Angie , Jennie and Anna .
He is survived by his daughter , Carmella Bencivenga and her husband Ben of Galloway and daughter-in-law , Judi Domenico of Hammonton . Frank is the loving grandfather of Bianca Hermann ( Mark ), April Tabachri ( Sharbel ), Krista Bencivenga ( Jameson Romano ), Tara and Luke Bencivenga , and great-grandfather of Cole , Reese , Kent , Fawn and Rylan .

POLICE , from Page 1 Pike and Old Forks Road . Police were advised of an erratic driver traveling eastbound on Route 30 heading toward the town of Hammonton . The caller remained on the phone and advised the driver of the vehicle had already caused an accident in Winslow Twp . The caller continued to follow behind the driver ,” Friel said .

Five cars hit by an erratic driver
Accident at 3rd & Bellevue

HAMMONTON — Officer Dalton Scola was involved in a twocar accident that led to the toppling of a light signal at the accident ’ s location , the intersection of Third Street and Bellevue Avenue , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said . The accident occurred at 12:31 p . m . on August 3 , Friel said .
Friel said vehicle number one , a 2001 black and white Ford Crown Victoria , which was a police vehicle , had observed a vehicle running the stop light on Third Street traveling west across Bellevue Avenue . The police officer , Officer Dalton Scola , 20 , activated his emergency lights and proceeded across the intersection to affect a motor vehicle stop , Friel said .
Vehicle number two , which was traveling northbound on Bellevue
Avenue , had a green traffic signal and proceeded into the intersection , unaware that the patrol vehicle was traveling into the intersection , Friel said .
Vehicle number two , a blue 2012 Hyundai Sonata operated by Phillip Stepler , 33 , of Franklinville impacted with vehicle number one , Friel said . Vehicle number two left the travel portion of the roadway , striking and toppling a light standard at the corner of Third Street and Bellevue Avenue , Friel said .
There were no reported injuries , Friel said . An investigation showed vehicle number one failed to yield right-of-way without audible device and lights added , Friel said .
“ He had the lights on but not the audible device ,” Friel said .
Friel said there were no motor vehicle charges for either person .
Cpl . James Pinto was the investigating officer , Friel said .
failed to stop at which time Sgt . Thomas Percodani responded in the area and observed the accused vehicle drive through the red traffic signal at the White Horse Pike and Shopping Center Drive and strike a vehicle , then travel into oncoming traffic and continue eastbound on the White Horse Pike .
Gravely then caused a four-car collision at the intersection of the White Horse Pike and Broadway , Friel said .
“ In total , there were six vehicles , including Gravely ’ s , that were involved in accidents : The one in Winslow , the one on Route 30 at the intersection of Shopping Center Drive and three more along with Gravely ’ s at the intersection of Route 30 and Broadway ,” Friel said .
Gravely was transported to AtlantiCare Atlantic City Division , and blood was drawn for testing as it appeared he was driving while impaired , Friel said .
He was charged with seconddegree eluding and assault by auto , Friel said , adding that Gravely will also be charged with driving while under the influence and motor vehicle charges .
On August 14 , Gravely was taken into custody , advised of his criminal charges and was transported to the Atlantic County Jail on the warrant , Friel said .
