Fatal accident on Rt . 206

HAMMONTON — Police are continuing to investigate the cause of a fatal accident that occurred at 5 p . m . on August 4 at the intersection of Route 206 and Columbia
Road , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Police were dispatched in reference to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash with reported injuries , Friel said .
Friel said vehicle number one was a 2016 black Honda Odyssey operated by Kim Hyo , 80 , of Moorestown and vehicle number two was a 2019 gray Hyundai Elantra , operated by Helen Conti , 73 , of Galloway Twp . Conti had an 11-year-old passenger in her vehicle , Friel said .

HAMMONTON — The Hammonton Environmental Commission entertained several tree removal permit applications at their meeting on August 10 .
Vice-chair Terri Caruso-Cafiso helmed the meeting for chair Dan Bachalis , who was absent . Also present were Commissioners Amy Menzel , Alicia Murphy , Steve Carr and Charles Crowley .
Among the applications was one submitted by Atlantic City Electric for trimming and removal of street trees at numerous locations throughout Hammonton . Matthew Gerwien , the Senior Program Manager of Vegetation Management for Atlantic City Electric , was present to offer testimony .
“ We ’ re going to be coming through . We ’ re going to be trimming a corridor that runs through a good chunk of Hammonton . There are only two trees that need to be removed this time ; the rest of See COMMISSION , Page 3
