He had 33 years of marriage and was blessed with three children and three grandchildren with whom he had an incredible bond. Some would say he was a big kid himself. His sense of humor and laugh were infectious. Doug had a way of making friends wher- ever he went and even when battling his own medical issues would still put the needs of others above his own. He was the definition of strength and resilience. Doug loved his Philadelphia sports teams and grew up playing baseball and many other activities. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors the most. He spent many weekends out on the boat with his father and brothers fishing and crabbing. The boat held some of his fondest memories. Once he became a pop-pop himself, he kept that tradition and loved taking his granddaughter to the lake. The water will never be the same without him. Loving husband and best friend of Dawn M.
