Appropriation now $1.6M

HAMMONtON—A special
meeting of town council was held
on Monday, August 11 at 6 p.m. to
discuss funding and bids for the
Wells 1 and 3 project.
Council passed an ordinance increasing the appropriation amount
to $1,600,000 for the Wells 1 and
3 granular-activated carbon system project. According to Councilman edward Wuillermin, the
amount will be fully reimbursed
by the New Jersey Spillfund.

HAMMONtON—two separate burglaries were reported to
police last week, Hammonton Police Captain Nick Salvatore said.
On August 4, an alleged burglary on the 200 block of Vine
Street was reported to the HPD at
noon, Salvatore said.
A resident reported they returned to find someone had entered their residence and removed
personal items, an AtM card and
some bank statements and deposits, Salvatore said.
“A total amount of items valued
at $3,500 is reportedly missing,”
