Clients can come in and grasp what the outcomes can possibly be. People that are involved in litigation all of it is unknown. I can meet a client in those particular areas step-by-step and they see exactly what is going on and the possible end results,” Buckley said. In the planning aspect of law, the challenges are less the earlier clients come in to plan, according to Buckley. “Planning for seniors or those who come in incapacitated, it is a challenge because you are usually up against some timeframe, some immediacy and the plan doesn’t lend itself well to immediate needs. It is a plan and in essence it is something that is assuming a possible challenge in the future, not essentially facing it right now. For example, life insurance is hard to get when you have already been diagnosed with a terminal condition. It is a little too late for that. Clients sometime don’t understand that the earlier they come in, the better the planning ability can be,” Buckley said.
