OBITUARIES

William R . Roeschen William R . Roeschen , 89 , of Hammonton passed away on Thursday , August 4 , 2022 . Born in Philadelphia , Bill is a longtime resident of Hammonton . Bill was a former manager at Woolworth Dept . Store in Philadelphia and Furlow ’ s 5 & 10 in Hammonton for 11 years prior to starting his own business William Roeschen Builder in 1979 . He proudly served in the U . S . Army , was a member of the Hammonton Presbyterian Church and choir , an avid skier especially in the western U . S . and loved to travel throughout all the U . S . and Canada .

William is predeceased by his beloved wife , Joan . He is survived by his loving daughters , Lynne ( Donald ) Kimball and Lisa Roeschen ; grandchildren , Zachary ( Lauren ) Kimball and Elizabeth Kimball ; and great-grandchild , Eleanor Kimball .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Saturday , August 13 , 2022 at 11 a . m . at the Hammonton Presbyterian Church 326 Bellevue Ave , Hammonton , NJ 08037 . Visitation with the family 10:30 a . m . to 11 a . m . prior to the service at the church . In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the church . HAMMONTON — Police made several warrant arrests during the last week , including the following , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said :
• On July 28 at 12:02 a . m . on the prime block of S . Egg Harbor Road , Sgt . Sean Grasso observed Michael Parker , 56 , of Hammonton who was found to have an active county warrant , Friel said .

Sean M . Glisson

Sean M . Glisson , 51 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away unexpectedly on Thursday , August 4 , 2022
Sean was born in Maple Shade , N . J . and graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1989 . He went on to graduate with honors from Rutgers University with a double major in history and finance ( and proudly without debt ).
Sean was full of life and mastered the balance of family and work . Highly intelligent , he worked as the Vice President of Underwriting for Republic Bank . Beyond that , Sean was an amazing father and a true history “ buff ” at heart . He participated in reenactments for over 25 years , enduring harsh conditions and cold temperatures — a fact that he did not let his kids forget .
Sean loved the Phillies , attending well over 200 games throughout his short life . He was also an avid fan of the Eagles and loved Villanova University . You could find Sean grilling for his family in his backyard , jamming out to Motley Crue or amassing his daily goal of 10,000 steps . Sean loved traveling and spent the weeks before his untimely death on a 12- day Stephan Ambrose tour following the Louis & Clark Expedition , beginning in Great Falls , Montana and ending 2,000 miles away in Astoria , Washington . Above all , Sean loved life and filled each day with lasting memories . He is predeceased by his parents , Maurice J . “ Marty ” and Jane ( nee Hughes ) Glisson . Sean is survived by his loving wife of 26 years , Nadine ( nee Scurria ) and his three sons , Evan , Alexander and Gabriel . He is also survived by his siblings , Maurice Jerome “ Jerry ” Glisson ( Clare ), Maureen Goetz ( Michael ), James Glisson ( Cathy ) and Kevin Glisson ( Karen ); and by his loving in-laws , Thomas and Valerie Scurria .
Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday , August 10 , 2022 from 9:30 a . m . to 12:30 p . m . at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N . Third St . Hammonton , NJ 08037 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish-St . Joseph Church Third and French Street Hammonton , N . J . Warrant arrests made

He was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing and placed in the Atlantic County Jail on a “ no bail ” warrant , Friel said .
Friel said Grasso was the arresting officer .

In other police news , police made several DWI arrests last week , including the following , Friel said :
• On August 4 at 8:08 p . m . on the prime block of Mill Run Drive , a suspicious vehicle was observed , Friel said . Upon stopping the vehicle , Officer Matthew Heiser determined that the driver , William Bostel , 59 , of Egg Harbor City was under the influence of alcohol , Friel said .
He was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with the following motor vehicle violations : driving while under the influence , refusal to submit to breath testing ,

Police make DWI arrests

HAMMONTON — Several driving while under the influence arrests ( DWI ) were made recently , including the following , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said :
• On July 30 at 12:42 a . m . at the location of N . First Road and 13th Street , Officer Travis Hoffman conducted a motor vehicle stop for an expired registration , Friel said . In speaking with the driver , who was identified as Clark Hoffman IV , 34 , of Williamstown , he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage , Friel said .
The driver advised that he had three beers and had just left the bar , Friel said .
Clark Hoffman was placed under arrest for driving while under the influence ( DWI ), transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with the following : DWI , refusal to submit to breath testing , careless driving , reckless driving , unregistered vehicle , failure to exhibit his insurance card and failure to give proper signal , Friel said .
He was released as per John ’ s Law pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
Friel said Officer Travis Hoffman was the arresting and charging officer .
• On July 30 at 1:37 a . m . at the intersection of S . White Horse Pike and Moss Mill Road , Officer Matthew Heiser observed a gray Jeep Cherokee failing to maintain a lane

careless driving , reckless driving and failure to maintain lane of travel , Friel said .
Bostel was released as per John ’ s Law pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
Friel said Heiser was the investigating and arresting officer .
• On August 6 at 9:50 p . m . on the 100 block of 12th Street , Officer Travis Hoffman observed a silver GMC pickup traveling northbound in the southbound lane of travel , Friel said .
The vehicle then turned onto Washington Street without a signal into a parking lot and impacting a parking bollard , Friel said .
Hoffman approached the vehicle , identifying the driver as Rogelio Pulido-Garcia , 36 , of Hamilton Twp ., Friel said .
Friel said Pulido-Garcia advised he only had two beers , and a strong odor of alcohol was emanating from his breath .
According to Friel , he was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing and was charged with the following ; driving while under the influence and refusal to submit to breath testing . He was released as per John ’ s Law pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
Friel said Hoffman was the investigating and arresting officer .
This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement . All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law .
