Board votes to terminate HVAC contract with Kappa Const.

HAMMONtON—the board
approved a motion accepting the
recommendation of its architect
and engineer to terminate the
HVAC contract with Kappa Con-
struction for the HVAC improvement project at the middle school
during its July 10 board meeting.

Camp tuscaloosa has been a destination for kids ages three to 14
to participate in various activities

mer. the Architect called every
firm after the bids were awarded
and asked if they could complete
the work according to the specifications. All firms replied yes. Unfortunately, the HVAC contractor
has in the Board’s opinion not been
responsive or timely regarding this
project. the Board pursuant to its
contract is making an official inquiry from the Architect to determine if the Board may terminate
the contract for cause. Once we receive notification from our Architect we will take the next steps to

on pavilion project

HAMMONtON—On June 18,
the Hammonton Kiwanis Club
began a project to restore the Hammonton Lake Park pavilion. the
pavilion has been used for various
events and activities in the past,
but is in need of repairs, additions
and upgrades. Several Kiwanis
members are involved in eventually completing this task, and the
club’s goal is to have the pavilion
restored in time for the town
sesquicentennial celebrations at
the lake park in 2016.

has planned and began a
fundraiser to develop a scholarship
aimed to be distributed to Stockton
undergraduate students from the

According to Stockton’s Leadership Annual Giving Coordinator,
Nicholas Sena, the Hammonton
Scholarship endowment was an
initiative started by the president
of the college, Herman Saatkamp.
