Carmella Grace Rivera
Carmella Grace rivera (nee fichetola), 79, of Hammonton died
peacefully on July 22, 2019 at home with all her family by her side.
She was born in elm, and lived most of her life in Hammonton
where she graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1958. She went
on to work for W.B. Kessler Clothing Company and later as an Office
Manager for her family’s construction business while raising her chil-
dren. Her life was centered around her children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, Vito Pete and Jennie fichetola;
her brother, rocco a. fichetola and her sister, Marie Santacrose. Sur-
viving are her daughter, Karen rivera; her son, Scott rivera and his
wife anna “Bess” (all of Hammonton) and her two sisters, Verna Parks of Hammonton
and Jean Lea of Derwood, Md. She is the loving grandmother of rachael Clark (Christo-
pher), Domenique rodriguez and isabella rivera and great-grandmother of alexander
and Paige McCorry. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewings were held on thursday, July 25 and friday, July 26 at the Marinella funeral
Home in Hammonton. Her Mass of Christian Burial was held on friday, July 26 at St.
Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church, Hammonton. Burial followed at Oak
Grove Cemetery, 500 N. White Horse Pike, Hammonton. in lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to the National Kidney foundation, inc., 30 east 33rd Street, New York,
NY 10016 in her honor.

Stanley “Bubbles” N. Thibault
Stanley “Bubbles” N. thibault, 66, of Nesco died peacefully on July
15, 2019.
Born in Nesco, he was a lifelong resident. Before retiring he worked
at Ocean Yachts in Weekstown for more than 25 years. He was a for-
mer member of the Nesco all around Sportsmen Club. He was an
avid motorcycle rider and he loved to ride his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by 10 siblings, thomas thibault, adrian thibault,
avon tron, frank thibault, Cecelia Jameson, Linda Chatten, Cheryl
Harden, robert thibault, rebecca thibault and Christopher thibault.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
a Celebration of Life will be held at the Mullica in the Pines - His-
torical Society (Nesco School), 3410 Nesco road in Nesco on Saturday, august 3, 2019
at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. in lieu of flowers donations

Marie P. Cuzzilla
Marie P. Cuzzilla, 88, of Hammonton died on Wednesday, July, 24,
2019 at atlantiCare Medical Center in atlantic City.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident there. She was a
member of the Military Officers association of america Wives Club
where she formerly served as President. Cuzzilla enjoyed cooking, en-
tertaining and reading.
She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Stephen Cuzzilla;
two brothers, Peter Paul Lucca and his wife frances and Joseph Lucca
and his wife Harriett; one sister, frances DiSalvo and her husband an-
gelo. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Michael
Lucca (Donna), David Lucca (Jan), Susan fagotti (Bob), Patricia
Gardella (Bill), Paula Lucca, Pam Dzielak (tom), Doreen Vitalo, Dominick Cuzzilla
(Donna), Jerry Vitalo (Patty) and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
a viewing was held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish
Church of St. Joseph’s in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial was also cele-
brated. entombment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.

HaMMONtON—Police are
seeking the public’s help in locat-
ing a suspect who is wanted in
connection with a hit and run on
the 800 block of 12th Street that
was reported at 9:21 a.m. on July
25, Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin
friel said.
the department received a call
on July 25 in reference to a hit and
run accident involving a pedes-
trian, friel said.
“Using businesses that had
cameras facing the street, we at-
tempted to get a better description
of the van. While we did find the
van on the video, we were unable
to obtain registration information
from the video,” friel said.
Scott Wood, 36, of Brielle, New
Jersey was attempting to stop traf-
fic on 12th Street to allow a large
truck with a flatbed enter the road-
way from a business located in the
800 block, friel said. traffic
northbound stopped, and a blue
16-passenger ford econoline van
traveling southbound on route 54
failed to stop, striking Wood in the
intersection and knocking him
across the lane, friel said. the ve-
hicle continued on southbound
and was observed by a witness in
a vehicle stopped northbound as a
white male, approximately in his
50s who was believed to be talk-
ing on his cell phone at the time of
the accident, friel said.
the pedestrian was in critical
condition, flown by helicopter to
atlantiCare trauma Center in at-
lantic City and suffered severe
life-threatening injuries, friel
said.

vestigation, led by Sgt. Jason
rigby, is ongoing, friel said.
Drug arrests made

HaMMONtON—Police made
a drug arrest on the 100 block of
12th Street at 10:46 a.m. on July
24, Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin
friel said.
What was originally called in as
an ambulance call turned out to be
a motor vehicle accident, driving
while under the influence and pos-
session of controlled dangerous
substance (cds) (pills) as well as
possession of drug paraphernalia
(wax folds) and a hypodermic nee-
dle, friel said.
Police responded to a call about
a vehicle in front of a retail estab-
lishment on the 100 block of 12th
Street, friel said.
Jessica Lavin, 28, of Mays Land-
ing, was in the driver’s seat of a
black 2009 toyota rav4, friel said.
Officer John amendolia iii re-
sponded and noticed that the dri-
ver’s vehicle had impacted with
one of the parking bollards adja-
cent to the building, friel said.
“amendolia observed that the
driver appeared to be under the in-
fluence of something; she was in-
capacitated and unresponsive.
Upon waking her, she regained
consciousness and appeared to be
disoriented,” friel said.
Lavin refused treatment from
emergency Medical Services
(eMS) and was placed under arrest
for driving under the influence,
friel said. Subsequent to her arrest,
she was found to be in possession
of a hypodermic needle, a straw
with white powdery substance, 18
empty wax folds, a glass smoking
pipe and pills, friel said.
She was arrested, processed and
charged with the following: Pos-
session of cds or analog, use or
under the influence of cds, posses-
sion of drug paraphernalia and pos-
session of a hypodermic needle,
friel said. Lavin’s motor vehicle
summonses included: Driving
under the influence, reckless driv-
ing and possession of cds in a
motor vehicle, friel said.
Lavin was released as per John’s
Law pending a court appearance in
Hammonton Joint Municipal
Court, friel said.

the location of the vehicle, which
was in the City of Camden, friel
said. the Camden Police Depart-
ment located the vehicle in the
possession of Gabriel Luna, 18, of
Hammonton.
“Upon being brought back to
town by Hammonton Police De-
tectives, Mr. Luna admitted to
taking the vehicle from its loca-
tion when questioned by detec-
tives,” friel said.
Luna was charged with bur-
glary (for entering the vehicle)
and motor vehicle theft pending
an appearance in Hammonton
Joint Municipal Court, friel said.
