John J . Ludovich , 82 , of Waterford , N . J . passed away on thursday , July 22 , 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family .
John was born in Camden , N . J . and has been a lifelong Waterford resident . He dedicated much of his life to service , serving as a Winslow twp . Police Officer and firefighter as well as a member of the United States army . John was also a little league baseball coach and a member of the Knights of Columbus Padre Pio Council 14191 .
He is predeceased by his parents , Nicholas and Catherine Ludovich ; his wife , Maryann r . ( nee Marro ); and brother , fred Ludovich .
John is survived by his children , Donna Maccarella ( ron ) of Bolivar ,
Mo ., John a . Ludovich ( Dawn ) of Waterford , N . J . and Kimberly ( Craig Mowers ) of tuckahoe , N . J .; and his brother , Nicholas Ludovich ( Mary anne ). He is the loving grandfather of ronald Maccarella , Kaitlyn rice , John Ludovich Jr . and James rice . family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday , July 26 , 2021 from 9:30 a . m . to 10:45 a . m . at St . anthony Church-Christ the redeemer Parish 450 Pennington ave , Waterford Works , NJ 08089 . a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a . m . Joann B . Sorrentino , 72 , of Hammonton passed away on Sunday , July 25 , 2021 .
She lived in Hammonton all of her life and worked with her parents at their restaurants in Hammonton and elm for many years . Joann was employed at the Winslow township Police Department as a dispatcher and after retiring from there she went to work as an inspector for the N . J . Casino Control Commission . after retiring , she enjoyed taking road trips to the casinos to gamble . She also enjoyed playing Bingo .
Joann is predeceased by her parents , augie and rose Sorrentino ; her sister , rose ; and brother , Paul .
She is survived by many relatives and good friends . a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated thursday , July 29 , 2021 , 11 a . m . in St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , Church of St . Six running for three school board seats

HaMMONtON — the candidates for the Hammonton Board of education election in November have been finalized according to the county . three seats are open for election .
Michael Pullia ( incumbent ), erica Polito ( incumbent ), Kelly Donio , Sean Grasso , Luke Coia and thomas attanasi ( incumbent ) have all filed to run for the school board , according to an email from atlantic County Deputy Clerk Michael Sommers . election Day is tuesday , November 2 .

Land Rover stolen

HaMMONtON — at 3:20 p . m . on July 20 , police received a call of a stolen vehicle on the 300 block of the White Horse Pike ( route 30 ), Hammonton Police Chief Kevin friel said .
“ a gray 2016 Land rover was taken from the parking lot . the key fob to the vehicle was left inside the vehicle ,” friel said . the owner of the vehicle said that at 3 p . m . he parked the vehicle in the parking lot and at 3:20 p . m . he found the vehicle was gone , friel said .
Video footage showed a male subject wearing an orange safety vest enter the vehicle and travel westbound on the White Horse Pike , friel said . the vehicle is entered into NCiC and anyone with any information can contact the Hammonton Police Department at ( 609 ) 561-4000 .
Officer eric Pohl was the investigating officer , friel said .
tucci was released as per John ’ s Law pending an appearance at Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , friel said .
Police make DWI arrest

HaMMONtON — a driving while under the influence ( DWi ) arrest was made at 1:34 a . m . on July 20 , at the corner of Orchard and Second Street , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin friel said . an erratic driver complaint was made to police , friel said .
