OBITUARIES Jason P . Crowder
Jason P . Crowder , 30 , of Winslow Township passed away in a motorcycle accident on Friday , July 8 , 2023 . He was born on June 25 , 1993 in Vineland , N . J . he was a lifelong Hammonton resident . Jason was a 2011 graduate of Hammonton High School , where he played football and basketball . He was a Project Manager for Real Value Management . Jason was a volunteer football coach for both the Hammonton Hawks and the Hamilton Knights Organizations . He played softball for the Hammonton Rec . League . He was a member of the Wheels of Soul Nation . Jason was an avid Denver Broncos and New York Yankee Fan .
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents , Fred Sr . and Florine
Crowder ; his paternal grandfather , Vittorio Vivirito ; his brother , Darryl Crowder , Jr .; his uncles , Fred and Edward Crowder ; and his cousin , Marcus Crowder . Jason is survived by his fiancée , Paige Cannon ; his sons , Caleb and Jaelen Crowder ; his parents , Darryl and Rose Crowder ; his sisters , Vanessa Crowder ( El ), Nicole Quershi ( Eli ) and Cookie Crowder ; his brothers , Edward and Nathan Crowder ; his maternal grandmother , Nancy Vivirito ; and a host of aunts , uncles , nieces , nephews , cousins and friends .
Funeral Services were held Saturday , July 15 , 2023 , 10:30 a . m . at Harvest Church , 272 Route 206 , Hammonton , N . J ., Entombment followed in Greenmount Cemetery . Visitations were held Friday , July 14 , 2023 6 p . m . – 9 p . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home 202 S . Third St ., Hammonton and again on Saturday 9 a . m . - 10:30 a . m . at Harvest Church . In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family .

Maria M . Rodriguez
Maria M . Rodriguez , 75 , of Hammonton passed away on Monday , July 17 , 2023 at her residence with her loving family at her side . Born in Cayey , Puerto Rico she lived in Hammonton for 50 years . Maria was a seamstress at Kessler Clothing Co . in Hammonton . She also worked as a certified nursing assistant at Greenbriar Nursing Center . She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union . Maria was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Puerto Rican Civic Association in Hammonton . She was also a Cursillistas at St . Joseph ' s Church .
Maria is survived by her loving husband , Elvin Rodriguez ; her four children , Kevin Montemurro ( Andrea ), Evelyn Rodriguez ( Cris ), Elvin Rodriguez , Jr ., Ester Rodriguez ( Angelo ); her sisters , Milagros Rodriguez and Carmen Torres . She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren , Cris , Adam , Andrew , Jules , Jaeda , Samantha , Syarra and Kevin .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday , July 21 , 2023 , 11:30 a . m . in St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , Church of St . Joseph ' s 226 French Street , Hammonton , where a viewing will be held from 9:30 a . m . until 11:30 a . m . Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery , Hammonton .

HPD investigates two fights

A driving under the influence arrest and two separate altercations were reported over the weekend , according to Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel .
Two fights broke out on July 14 at 11:30 p . m in the area of 12th Street and West End Avenue . One fight broke out on 12th Street while the second one was in the parking lot behind the buildings of 12th Street and West End Avenue , according to Friel .
The police are currently investigating the case . Detective Richard Brown is the investigating officer .
Officer Matthew Heiser was dispatched to the 700 block of Bellevue Avenue on July 15 at 4:06 a . m .
Heiser stopped a vehicle that was failing to maintain lane of travel . Elvin Carcamocorea , 29 , of Mays Landing , was found to be operating under the influence .
Carcamocorea was placed under arrest as a white powedery substance , believed to be cocaine , was found in his vehicle , Friel said .
Carcamocorea was charged with possession of CDS-cocaine , DUI , refusal to submit to breath testing , failure to maintain lane of travel , careless and reckless driving , failure to inspect and obstructed view .
Carcamocorea was released , pending a court appearance at Atlantic County Superior Court .
This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement . All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law .
