Hundreds attend Conway book signing

CONWAY , from Page 1 Mt . Carmel Society Hall on the Mt . Carmel Lane portion of Tilton Street , overlooking the nearly-vacant block used by the society to stage the carnival that is part of its annual festival . Conway , of nearby Atco , ( Waterford Twp .), said during her remarks she wanted to “ come home ” for a book signing event .
“ This is truly a homecoming … I wanted to come back and say thank you ,” Conway said .
Conway is a 1985 graduate of St . Joseph High School in Hammonton and was honored earlier in 2022 by St . Joseph Academy with the “ Heart of a Wildcat ” Award . She became a nationallyknown pollster and pundit . In 2016 , she became the first woman in American history to manage a winning presidential campaign , serving as the campaign manager to the successful election of President Donald J . Trump and Vice President Mike Pence . She worked in the Trump White House as senior counselor . According to her biography from book publisher Simon and Schuster , she is a “ fully recovered ” attorney licensed to practice law in four jurisdictions , holds a law degree , with honors , from George Washington University Law School . She was the founder of the polling company , inc ./ Women Trend , a business she had for 21 years , and now runs KAConsulting LLC . Conway is the mother to four school-age children .
Unlike book signing events where the author sits at a table and a line of people bring their books to be signed , Conway ’ s event felt more like a meshing of an outdoor reunion , a night at the carnival and a political rally . Local caterer John Rodio , his wife Louise and their “ It ’ s a Rodio ” crew served up food from an outdoor trailer . People hugged Conway throughout the evening as she signed their 490-page books . (“ It ’ s either a showstopper or a doorstopper ,” she laughingly told the crowd .) The book ’ s front cover features her photo on a sky-blue cover with “ Kellyanne ” in large white letters across the top and “ Conway ” in smaller type beneath her first name . Other stops on her nationwide book tour will include places like the Ronald Reagan Foundation and Institute in Simi Valley , Calif .
The entire night had a strong local feel . During her remarks , Conway mentioned that she could see the former convent where she attended kindergarten , located just a block from the location where the event was being held . She noted that she her kindergarten class included Patty Palmieri , Linda Mazzeo and the late Christine Massarelli , and said she had remained in touch with them across the decades . In the “ Acknowledgments ” section of the book she wrote “ The sudden loss
