The Reverend Joseph P . Capella
The Reverend Joseph P . Capella , 61 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away on Tuesday , June 21 , 2022 at his residence after an extended illness .
Born in Philadelphia , he was raised in Hammonton . He was a graduate of St . Joesph ’ s University in Philadelphia and Washington Theological Union in Washington , D . C . Father Capella was ordained as a Pallottine priest in St . Joseph ’ s Parish in Hammonton on June 2 , 1990 by Most Reverend James McHugh . He served at Our Lady of Pompeii Parish in Brooklyn , N . Y . from 1990 - 1996 . Father Capella served as a teacher , chaplain and the rector of Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken from 1996 - 2003 . In 2006 Father Capella was incardinated into the Camden Diocese and served at Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in Mays Landing . He served as pastor of Saint Luke Parish in Stratford from 2006 - 2009 . From 2009 - 2016 he was pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lindenwold . In 2016 Fr . Capella was assigned to Camden Catholic High School as Director of Catholic Identity . In 2018 he was appointed as Rector at CCHS by Bishop Dennis Sullivan . He also served as a member of the bishop ’ s College of Consulters and on the Presbyteral Council . Father Capella was a member and Chaplain of The Our Lady of Mt . Carmel Society in Hammonton . He formerly served as chaplain for the State of New Jersey Sons of Italy ; he also served as National Chaplain .
Father Joe is predeceased by his parents , Anthony and Nina Capella ; and his niece , Heather . He is survived by his brothers , Anthony Capella Jr . ( Lisa ) and Paul Capella ( Colleen ); his sister , Annlouise Capella ( Frank Kralick ); six nieces ; one nephew ; and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews .
Memorial donations may be made in Father Capella ’ s name to Camden Catholic High School For Christian Ministry , 300 Cuthbert Blvd . Cherry Hill , NJ 08002 .

John W . Summers Sr .
John W . Summers Sr ., 73 , of Folsom , N . J . passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday , June 21 , 2022 in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center .
Born in Bedford , Pa . he lived in Folsom for 50 years . John formerly worked for Artie Grasso and Sons as a carpenter and for INTEX Millwork Solutions in Mays Landing .
John is predeceased by his son , John W . Summers Jr .; his parents , John H . and Betty Jane Summers ; his brothers , Rick , Tom and Bob ; his sister , Diane ; and his in-laws , Thomas and Marjorie Giordano .
He is survived by his wife of 50 years , Marjorie Summers ( nee Giordano ); his sons , Ronnie Summers of Mays Landing and Tommy Summers of Hammonton ; his sisters , Karen Fayter ( Peter ) of Folsom and Debra Kilburn ( Paul ) of Mullica Twp .; and the apple of his eye his granddaughter , Autumn Lynn Summers .

Bruce Santora
Bruce Santora , 56 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday June 24 , 2022 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center after a five-year battle with ALS .
Bruce was born and raised in Hammonton , N . J ., graduated from Hammonton High School in 1983 and received his bachelor ’ s degree from Rutgers University in 1987 .
He recently retired from Bloomberg LP in New York City where he worked for over 17 years as a Feeds Analyst .
Bruce was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan attending numerous games in Pittsburg . He even cheered them on to victory at Super Bowl XLIII in 2009 . He loved Star Wars , Marvel Comics and anime . Bruce enjoyed traveling and visiting Japan , London , Italy , Alaska and Great Britain . He especially loved vacations in Disney with his family . His hobbies included playing golf , going to the movies , doing puzzles and playing board and card games .
He is predeceased by his father , Anthony B . Santora ; his aunt , Roseana Donio ; and uncles , Frank Scola and Vic Santora .
He is survived by his mother , Carmela ( nee Scola ); his brothers , Frank Santora ( Susan ) and Mark Santora ; his wife , Tracy ; his nephews , Mark and Anthony ; his aunts , Joann Scola and Carmelanne Bartuccio ( Joseph ); his uncles , Angelo ( Bebe ) Scola and Joseph Donio ; and numerous cousins .
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday , July 1 , 2022 from 6 p . m . to 9 p . m . and Saturday , July 2 , 2022 from 8 a . m . to 9 a . m . at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N . Third Street Hammonton , N . J . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday , July 2 , 2022 at 9:30 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish – St . Janet Rodio Carty
Janet Rodio Carty ( nee Reber ), 75 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones on Thursday , June 23 , 2022 .
Janet was born and raised in Hammonton and worked for Whitehall Laboratories as a Machine Finisher for over 30 years . After retiring , she lovingly cared for her mother suffering from Alzheimer ’ s disease .
Janet loved her family and friends . She would always lend a helping hand or give advice . She loved working in her flower garden , tending to her home , decorating and cooking . She was known for her delicious pepperoni bread that she prepared for all of the family holidays . Janet loved music , dancing and socializing . She was fun-loving and her laugh was contagious . She also loved traveling , theatre , movies , playing scrabble and other board games . She loved animals and adopted and cared for many pets in her lifetime . She is predeceased by her parents , Paul and Frances ( nee Fiorentino ) Reber . She is survived by her loving husband , Fred Carty , and his four children ; her brother , Paul Reber ( Susan ); Susan ’ s daughter , Mandy ; her sister-in-law , Alice Reber ; her nieces , Cheryl Bruno and Helen Todaro ; her great-nieces and nephews , Kristen , Angela , Matthew , Lauren and Taylor ; and her many close friends . She will be greatly missed by her loving caretaker , Kim Parise ; her dog , Queeny ; and her cat , Kitty .

George W . Hoffman III
George W . Hoffman III , 48 , of Gloucester City , N . J . passed away peacefully Saturday , June 25 , 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden , N . J .
George was born in Stratford , N . J . He graduated from Woodbury High School in 1992 and Drew University in 1996 . After owning his own inspection company for many years , George worked as a specialized salesperson for Home Depot in Lawnside , N . J .
He was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America . George was an Eagle Scout and he continued , through adulthood , serving the Scouts in Gloucester County and the South Jersey area . He was a member of the Bonsal Blues Military Marching Band , where he played his trombone in the marching , concert and dance bands . You may even have seen George carrying the base drum in many of the South Jersey parades . George is predeceased by his father , George W . Hoffman Jr . George is survived by his loving mother , Rosemary ( nee Cini ); his brother , Frederick Hoffman ; and sisters , Judith Cardenosa ( John ) and Rosemary A . DeCicco ( Steve ). He is the loving uncle of Matthew , Hannah , Nathaniel , Levi and Kyle .
