I was 23 years old , living in my hometown of Hammonton , and I wanted to have my own minor league baseball team called the Hammonton Blueberries . This would have been in January of 1997 . Then , a few months later , I decided it would be a good idea to have my own sports section to cover the baseball team . You can ’ t

have a sports section without a newspaper . That is how The Hammonton Gazette was created . While the minor league baseball team didn ’ t become a reality , the dream of the newspaper that grew out of that failed baseball dream began 25 years ago this week with |
its first edition hitting newsstands on July 2 , 1997 .
There are many people who helped make the newspaper a reality . I was able to interview some of them during the past few weeks . Two of them , like me , have been with the paper for its entire quarter-century

COPENHAGEN , DEN- MARK — Hammonton resident Franco Catania and his wife Deana recently returned from an international trip that he won from his employer Lundbeck for his 2021 sales efforts with the prescription medication Vyepti , which is for the prevention of episodic and chronic migraines .
Catania reached the President ’ s Club in the United States ( top eight account managers ) with the top person awarded the international trip , the highest award the company has . Catania was number one sales rep for Vyepti in the world for the company . His sales topped that of four other countries .
