Senior Library Assistant Juliana Barse said that the library holds the Lego Club once a month on a Tuesday . The purpose of the club is for the kids to socialize more and for more people to get into the library . The library has done the

Lego Club in the past but since last fall , prizes were being awarded as the top three place winners will win a Lego set prize . Barse also said that the children who participate in the event can take away from learning how to share , helping each other build their projects and new parts and also socializing .
Parts of the evening saw the children socialize amongst each other as they moved in and out to different tables to find pieces that match their model . Parents were also on hand in assisting their children with building their projects , with some guiding their children into finding the correct pieces that match the pictured model on the sheet given to them . Some went the creative route as they used their imagination to create their projects , with some sharing their stories as to why they built that particular model . At the end of the session , the children brought their completed projects to the back of the library , where they get displayed to the public at the library .
Joseph Lizza and his brother were at the event as they worked together in building their models . Lizza had a lot of fun at the club ’ s session and would come back . Lizza combined Star Wars and real life together as he built a monorail with a river going under it and

“ I found the grass piece and there was already blue bricks so it looked like a river . Then , I found a clear piece that looked like a nice window for the front and then the door and the gray front piece , it looked like the front of a sleek monorail ,” Lizza said .
What Lizza enjoyed was building the Legos and seeing all of the pieces because he loved how random and different the pieces were and how old they were .
Grayson James Sharkey has an affinity for robots and built a model that he called the “ mack-amack .” Sharkey enjoyed being a part of the club and rated his
