Nancy Luca Mento Nancy Luca Mento, of Hammonton died peacefully at her residence on Saturday, April 25, 2020. She is predeceased by her husband of 17 years, Salvatore A. Mento (Sam); her father, Peter J. Luca; her mother, Jennie Luca (nee Cappuccio) and sister-in-law, Joann Luca (nee Bilazzo). Surviving are her brother, John Luca; her niece, Jessica Fisher and her husband Ian, and the loves of her life, Jake and Mia Fisher. Also surviving are Sam Mento, III, his wife Kathy and their children. A special thank you to Holy Redeemer Hospice Care for the exemplary level of care they gave to Nancy over the past three months. Arrangements made by Carnesale Funeral Home. Bruce Joseph Galletta Sr. Bruce Joseph Galletta Sr., 80, of Beachwood, N.J., died peacefully on April 23, 2020 surrounded by family. He was born in Philadelphia on May 27, 1939, son of the late Carlo and Elizabeth (Kalina) Galletta. Bruce attended Haddon Heights High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He moved to Ham- monton where he worked for Universal Supply for 40 years and belonged to the Kiwanis Club. Upon leaving Hammonton he worked for Garage Door Express and most recently ShopRite of Toms River. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Carlo and Elizabeth (Kalina) Galletta and his sister, Audrey Metzer (Tom). Surviving are his loving wife, Yvonne (Santelli) Galletta; sister, Denise Carey (Christopher); his son, Bruce J. Galletta Jr.; three daughters, Beverly Levari (Kevin), Betsy Ann Galletta and Bobbi Ann Straubmuller; along with Lori Santelli, Linda Santelli and William Santelli Jr. He was a loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Due to the current health crisis, a memorial service celebrating Bruce’s life will be held at a future date under the direction of Mastapeter Memorial Home in Bayville, N.J. DeCicco Jr., 82, of Folsom died peacefully at home on Mon- day, April 27, 2020. Born in New Brunswick, N.J., on October 13, 1937, he lived in Folsom for 35 years. Mr. DeCicco was a retired truck driver for the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation in New Brunswick. He is predeceased by his daughter, Doreen DeCicco. Surviving are his loving wife, Arlene M. DeCicco (nee Yock); his three daughters, Linda D’Urso of Brigantine, Deborah DeCicco of Medford, Cheryl DeCicco of New Port Richie, Fla.; one sister, Jean Fazekas of Woodbine; four grand- children, Melissa Holcomb, Michael Cammarota, Joseph D’Urso and An- thony D’Urso and his loving dog, Lucky. Arrangements made by Carnesale Funeral Home. Helen Ranere Gay Helen Ranere Gay, 95, of Salem, died on Monday, April 20, 2020. She was born on September 17, 1924 in Hammonton, a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Berenato Ranere. Mrs. Gay was a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education. She was a chief dietician in Saginaw and Ann Arbor, Mich., until finally transferring to the Salem VA Medical Cen- ter where she served as chief dietician until her retirement after a total of 34 years working with the veteran affairs medical system. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the OLPH Women’s Club, the American Dietary Association and the Southwest Vir- ginia Dietary Association. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Minnie Berenato Ranere and her husband, Clark Franklin Gay. Surviving are her children, Clark Anthony “Tony” Gay and wife Lisa Secord-Gay; her daughter, Alicia Gay; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A private Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated for the family at Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Rev. Ken Shuping officiating. She will later be laid to rest next to her husband in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton. She will be remembered as a lover of animals, and as such, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem SPCA, or to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Saturday, May 2 at 3:14 p.m. Lou “Motts” Mottola Lou “Motts” Mottola, 78, of Hammonton died on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway Twp. Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ham- monton High School Class of 1959. Lou was the owner and proprietor of Ideal Bakery and L & M A.C. and Refrigeration Company, both in Ham- monton. He was a dedicated and devoted volunteer for the Hammonton Fire Co. No. 1 where he served as Captain, and for the Hammonton Res- cue Squad where he also served as Captain. He is predeceased by his parents, Chick and Catherine Mottola. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Mottola (nee Eby); his children, Lou Mottola (Steven) and Katie Mottola; his sister, Arlene “Bunny” Capelli; his grand- daughter, Gabriella Ervin and his great-grandson, Jonah Holl. Funeral services will be private due to the coronavirus restrictions. Entombment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. Donald Wooton Sr. Donald Wooton Sr., 87, of Hammonton died peacefully on May 2, 2020 surrounded by his family. Donald was born September 28, 1932 in Buckhorn, Kentucky, to the late John and Hulda (Combs) Wooton. Donald served in the National Guard and worked for Con-Rail Railroad for 36 years. He enjoyed hunt- ing, fishing, horseshoes, gardening and making wine and sharing with friends. Donald was an avid Phillies fan. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his best friend Scooter his dog. Donald is predeceased by his sons, Donald, Jr. and Robert; his brothers, Manuel, Edgar, Delbert and his sister, Mabel. Donald is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rosemarie (Basile) Wooton. Donald leaves behind daughters, Hulda Birch (Larry), Kathy Ward (Henry), Tammy Taylor, Dawn Jacobs; his sons, William and Daniel (Ellen Schillace); his daughter-in-law, Debbie Wooton; 13 grand- children, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Donald is also survived by his sister, Pearl Bailey and his brothers, Cliff and Dy. Services and burial at Greenmount Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Raphael Villani R a p h a e l (Robert) Villani, 85, died peacefully on Friday, May 1. He was born in Avellino, Italy on March 23, 1935 to Carmine Antonio Villani and Fiorina (Olivieri) Villani. He came to Amer- ica alone when he was only 15 to pur- sue the American dream. He has been a Hammonton resident for the last 50-plus years. He worked incredibly hard to pro- vide for his family and showed his love for his family by being available to them whenever he was needed. He worked at Kessler Clothing Company, Whitehall Laboratories and Brunos Auto Parts. He loved to work with his hands, and he was a great all-around handyman. He was al- ways there to help relatives and friends with household projects. He loved to work out in his yard, and he grew the best toma- toes anyone has ever eaten, loved to grow crops and make his own wine. He lived to watch his family grow. He also adored watching his beloved Philadelphia sports teams. He is predeceased by his father, Carmine Antonio Villani; his mother, Fio- rina (Olivieri) Villani; his sisters, Lena and Yola; his wife of 60-plus years, Patricia Ann Villani nee Piccari and his son-in-law, Anthony Tomasello.
