Capella field at Hammonton Middle School www.hammontongazette.com (HMS), Hammonton Police Chief robert Jones said. the damage was reported to police at 9:47 a.m. on May 18, Jones said. “the damage probably occurred between the overnight hours of May 17 and May 18. it was the former concession stand – a panel was kicked out from an overhead garage door,” Jones said. Officer Mark Santora is the investigating officer, Jones said. Hammonton Board of education President Sam Mento commented on the vandalism when contacted by The Gazette. “i don’t think anyone is happy when there is vandalism. We try to keep our facility the best we can, and when vandalism occurs, it’s tough,” Mento said. anyone with any information about the damage can contact the Hammonton Police Department at 561-4000. “and, let it be known anyone caught vandalizing school property will be held financially responsible and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Mento said in a statement to The Gazette.
