Vincent Mazza
Vincent Mazza , 92 , of Hammonton passed away on Monday , May 16 , 2022 at his home surrounded by family .
Born in Hammonton , Vince was a lifelong resident . He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War . Vince worked at the FAA Technical Center for 53 years retiring at the age of 84 as a FAA Computer Specialist . He enjoyed going to the casinos , feeding the squirrels and spending time with family and friends , most especially time spent at family gatherings . Vince was a pilot and at one time owned his own plane . He enjoyed building model airplanes and sharing them with his family .
He is predeceased by his sister , Angie and his brothers , Tom , Jack , Joe ,
Mike and Al . Vince is survived by his son , Jimmy Mazza ; his daughter , Linda Sgambati ( Raymond ); his loving companion , Kathy Arlan ; six grandchildren , James Mazza , Joanne Branin ( Joseph ), Raymond , Jared , Krista and Dante Sgambati ; and two greatgrandchildren , Piper and Wesley . Michael Cosden
Michael Cosden , 57 , of Waterford , N . J . died peacefully after a long illness at home with his wife Joann and dog Mama Mia by his side .
Mike was born in Norristown , Pa . and lived in Winslow Twp . for most of his life . Anyone who knew Mike knew of his love for his family , friends and country . He was a very plain and simple person who loved Sunday dinner , country music , flea markets and cars .
Mike was a member of the Winslow Twp . Fire Co . and worked for Winslow Twp . Schools in the Maintenance Department .
He is predeceased by his mother , Trudy Bolli ( Mike ), and Baby Nicholas , and survived by his wife , Joann and her children and grandchildren : Anthony , Joseph , Maria ( Lou Parzanese ), Alexa , Anthony , Dominic , Lindsay and Ava ; his father , Joseph Cosden ( Dawn ); and their children , Joe , Damian and Dina ( Howard ); and many nieces and nephews .
Viewing was held Saturday , May 21 , 2022 from 9 a . m . to 10:45 a . m . at Christ the Redeemer Saint Anthony Church 450 Pennington Ave . Waterford Works , NJ 08084 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a . m . to noon with his final resting place at Oak Grove Cemetery 500 White Horse Pike Hammonton , N . J . Michael Campione II
Michael Campione II , 34 , of Hammonton , passed away on Saturday , May 14 , 2022 .
He was a lover of the outdoors and was gifted at working with his hands .
He is survived by his loving mother , Heidi Berenato ( Anthony ); his sisters , Melissa Brower and Nicole DeAnnuntis ; his children , Michael Campione III and Giavonna Campione ; step-siblings , Debra Samuelson , Anna Warburton and Joseph Berenato ; his uncle , George Campione ; his aunt , Theresa Delrossi : and many more family members . His loved ones never gave up hope . Services were private and handled through Carnesale Funeral Home .
Amelia D . Masi ( nee Previte ), 89 , of Buena , N . J . passed away on Wednesday , May 18 , 2022 at Inspira , Vineland after an extended illness .
She was affectionately known to all as Amy . Born in Hammonton , N . J ., she spent most of her life there until moving to Buena , N . J . in 1999 . Amy started her young life , after attending St . Joseph High School , by marrying the leading jockey of the nation , Joe Culmone in 1950 . Born of that marriage , were her three beloved daughters .
Amy was a homemaker and was known for her delicious meatballs and her famous homemade iced tea . She loved to cook for her family . Prior to falling ill , Amy loved her trips to the Casinos in Atlantic City . Amy traveled extensively throughout her life . She lived in Wales , U . K ., with her second husband for three years , and traveled through Europe during that time . She also treated her parents to a trip to Italy .
Amy is predeceased by her parents , John ( Fox ) and Sue Previte ; her husband , Joseph H Masi ; her beloved daughter , Joanne ; and her beloved sister and best friend in life , Beverly Corsiglia of Vineland , N . J .
She is survived by her two daughters , Debbie Zane and Cheri Culmone ; two grandchildren , Kevin Zane and Margaret Prus ; one great-grandson , Cyrus Cross ; and three stepchildren , Joseph Masi , Paul Masi and Denise Rizzo ( Frank ). She will be sadly missed by her niece , nephews , cousins and friends . Services will be held privately , followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery , Hammonton . Councilman Jonathan Oliva came to the offices of The Gazette on May 23 to present the newspaper with a proclamation from the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Hammonton . Gazette Publisher Gabriel Donio accepted the publication on behalf of The Gazette staff . The proclamation read , in part : “ WHEREAS , the Town of Hammonton values honesty , integrity and accuracy and WHEREAS , the Hammonton Gazette has entered into its 25th year in operation , reporting on the happenings within the town of Hammonton and the surrounding areas ; and WHEREAS , during the celebration of their 25th year the Hammonton Gazette has been awarded an Honorable Mention for the “ 10 News Publishers That Do It Right ” by Editor and Publisher Magazine … and WHEREAS , the Honorable Mention by Editor & Publisher has brought honor to the Town of Hammonton ; NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED THAT , The Mayor and Council of the Town of Hammonton , County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey , do hereby recognize and express their congratulations to the HAMMONTON GAZETTE on this day , the 23rd day of May , 2022 .” The Gazette is celebrating 25 years in 2022 .
