Robert Corgliano robert Corgliano, 63, of Hammonton died at home on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Corgliano moved to Hammonton when he was 16 years old and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1973. after graduating, he went to work at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard -NaVSSeS as an instrument Mechanic and Planner/estimator for 19 years. He also worked for Berenato Contractors inc., as well as a purchaser for M.L. ruberton Construction. an avid outdoorsman, Cor- gliano belonged to Blueberry Hill Hunting Club in Wheelerville, Pa., Quinton Sportsmen’s Club and was a member of the Nra. He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Vera Corgliano. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Charlotte (nee Berenato); son, robert (September); two daughters, Kristin Pistone (Mike) and Lindsay Cassario (P.J.) all of Hammonton; two brothers, Michael Corgliano (Linda) of Bellmawr and Louis Corgliano (rita) of Washing- ton twp.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chalie and Dawn Berenato and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Corgliano will be profoundly missed by his six grandchil- dren, Bobby and alana Corgliano, Mikie and Chelsea Pistone, and Julia and P.J. Cassario. He will also be missed by his best friend and dog, Gunnar, and all of his shooting buddies. Viewings were held on Monday, May 20 and tuesday, May 21 at the Marinella funeral Home. a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 21 at St. Mary of Mt. Anne Marie Hyland anne Marie (D’arcangelo) Hyland, 78, of Cherry Hill died on Sat- urday, May 11, 2019, surrounded by family. She was raised in Cedar Brook, N.J., and graduated from St Joseph’s High School and participated in various activities, including her favorite, which was cheerleading. She then attended St. francis College in Loretto, Pa., and after graduation moved to Washington, DC, to attend the Georgetown Law Center. after her first year, she decided that the law was not for her, and returned to Cedar Brook and embarked on a teaching career for the Winslow twp. School District. She participated in the anti-Poverty Program, teaching students in West atco and was voted “teacher of the Year.” She earned credits for her Master’s Degree at Glassboro State teacher’s College (rowan University) and then taught at Heritage Mid- dle School in Cherry Hill after her marriage in 1969 to attorney richard S. Hyland. She was devoted to her children and their education and was a fixture of their schools’ Pta events. after raising her children, she was employed by the US Census Bureau as an inter- viewer for its health survey. Her sunny disposition and friendly manner put participants at ease even when asking for medical information, a talent recognized by the Bureau. She had a beautiful singing voice and performed with a jazz combo in college and later with her parish choir. Her favorite singers were ella fitzgerald and Dinah Washington. She enjoyed vacations at the family’s retreat in the Pine Barrens, and at the shore in Cape May. She also loved to travel, and with family visited ireland, Spain, the Caribbean, Japan and US National Parks out west. She looked forward to the get-togethers of the Hyland and D’arcangelo clans and organized a few herself. She is predeceased by her parents, anthony f. D’arcangelo and his wife Jennie (Cataldi) and brother, anthony f. D’arcangelo Jr. She is survived by her devoted husband, the Hon. richard S. Hyland J.S.C. (ret). She is also survived by her children, richard S. Hyland, Jr., anthony B. Hyland and Stephanie a. Hyland; her sister, Helen friedman; niece, Jennie Young; sister-in-law, Marcia Hyland; special cousins, Laura rogers, rose robbins Pierznik and Marianne Venditti and many more cousins, nephews and nieces. a viewing was held on friday, May 17 at the Leroy P. Warrant arrest made by Gabe Donio G azette S taff W riter HaMMONtON—During a Hammonton Police Department driving while under the influence (DWi) checkpoint at 11:45 p.m. on May 18, police arrested an in- dividual on two separate warrants, Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin friel said. friel said Gary Perry, 47, of Burlington, was stopped during the checkpoint and received motor vehicle summonses for un- licensed driver and a cracked windshield, friel said. He was found to have two active war- rants, one from Burlington City for $1,000.01 and Burlington twp. for $750, friel said. Perry was released on his own recogni- zance on the warrants, friel said. a court date is pending for the motor vehicle summonses, friel said. friel said Officer William Kurz was the arresting officer. Guiseppe “Joe” Balestra Guiseppe “Joe” Balestra, 87, of Hammonton died peacefully on Sun- day, May 19, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Balestra was born in Paternopoli, italy, and along with his family im- migrated to Hammonton in March of 1972. He was employed by Ham- monton Board of education in the maintenance department and retired in June 1999. He was a self-taught carpenter and was always there for anyone who needed home improvements. He was a master wine maker who loved sharing his craft with his many friends. Balestra was an avid traveler and enjoyed visiting his family back in italy and the wine country in California. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he admired greatly. He is predeceased by his parents, angelo and Maria Balestra. He is survived by his lov- ing wife of 63 years, Mafalda Balestra (nee Perillo); his two daughters, Maria Luisa Wilson and her husband Bob and angela Cirillo and her husband anthony (both of Hammonton). He was the dear brother of attilio (Otto) Balestra, antonio Balestra and angelina D’amato of Syracuse, N.Y. and Lidia Barbieri of italy.
