HAMMONTON — When David Bruno , Sr ., the owner and founder of David Charles Ltd ., died on October 10 , 2021 , his two sons , David Jr . and Brandon , came up with a very special way to preserve his memory .
Brandon Bruno said that his father “ loved cars for his whole entire life .”
“ He had almost 20 cars , from what he told us . We only remember a couple . The one main car that stood out was that Lotus ,” Brandon Bruno said .
The Lotus in question was a 1985 Copper Red Lotus Esprit Turbo .
“ That ’ s one car that he always said he had regrets about selling . Even up to six months before he passed , he was talking about the Lotus . It was the one car that he wished he ’ d kept to have around for me and Dave as a keepsake ,”

Police arrest local woman for heroin |

HAMMONTON — Officer Dalton Verderame made a warrant arrest at 7:41 p . m . on May 6 , on the 100 block of E . 15th Street , Hammonton

Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Angela Cantwell , 37 , of Hammonton was known to have an outstanding warrant from Gloucester Twp ., Friel said .
A search incident to arrest produced 17 wax folds containing a

white powdery substance believed to be heroin , Friel said .
She was transported to the police department , processed and released with the charge of possession of controlled dangerous substance heroin pending a court appearance in Atlantic County Superior Court

and was given a new date on the warrant from Gloucester Twp ., Friel said .
Friel said Verderame was the arresting and charging officer .
In other news , police made two driving while under the influence arrests last week , Friel said .

• On May 7 at 9:11 p . m ., a vehicle crashed into a tree and fence on the 400 block of Pratt Street , Friel said .
