Helene E. “Tootie” DiMeglio
Helene E. “Tootie” DiMeglio (nee Head), 88, of Ancora died at Ju-
niper Village in Williamstown on Monday, April 29, 2019.
She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., but graduated from Lower Camden
County Regional High School in 1949 and received her Bachelor’s de-
gree from Glassboro State College. DiMeglio started her teaching career
in Pleasantville, then went to Blue Anchor and later to the Winslow Twp.
Board of Education teaching elementary, mainly first grade, and retiring
in 1995. She was a member of the Winslow Twp. Republican Club.
DiMeglio is predeceased by her husband, John A. DiMeglio and her
parents, Clancey and Helene Head. She is survived by her four children,
Mark and his wife Darlene and Paul and his wife Marie, both of Ancora,
Lori Corcoran and her husband Christopher of Dubois, Pa. and Dina Deveney and her hus-
band Robert of Franklinville, N.J. She is the loving grandmother of Victoria, Veronica,
Robert, John, Michael and Julia.
A viewing was held May 3, 2019 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Anthony of
Padua Church, Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 4 at the church. Burial
was held in Oak Grove Cemetery, 500 N. White Horse Pike, Hammonton. Donations may
be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. FL. 17 Chicago, IL 60601.

Angelina O. Ramirez
Angelina O. Ramirez (nee Lucca), 71, of Hammonton died suddenly
at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden on Monday, April
29, 2019.
She was born in Hammonton and graduated from St. Joseph High
School in 1965. Ramirez went on to work as a Craps Floor Person for
the Sands Hotel and Casino for more than 20 years and later worked for
Univers Health Benefits Company for five years. She was a member of
St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish and served as a lector and member of the
Altar Rosary Society.
She is predeceased by her parents, Salvatore “Tony” and Emma
Lucca. Ramirez is survived by her loving husband, Henry “Hank”
Ramirez; her son, Robert Dickerson and his wife Paula of Mays Landing; daughter, Tracy
Dickerson and her wife Gail Breslin of Galloway and she was the loving grandmother of
Devon, Zachary and Ryan.
Viewings were held Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 all at the Marinella Funeral
Home, Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, May 7 at St. Mary of
Mt. Carmel parish – St. Joseph Church, Hammonton. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre
Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd., Hammonton.

Louisa Moretti
Louisa Moretti, (nee Phillips), 88, of Hammonton died suddenly on
Friday, May 3, 2019 in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Divi-
sion.
Born in Reading, Pa., she lived in Hammonton for 38 years.
Moretti is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Carlo P.
Moretti; her daughter, Linda Dove and her husband Richard; one grand-
daughter, Carly Dove and two sisters, Diana Swartz and Jacqueline Mur-
ray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 9,
2019, 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph’s
226 French St., Hammonton, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m.
until 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road Ham-
monton, NJ 08037. Memorial Donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hos-
pital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

Luciano Soto Jr.
Luciano Soto Jr., 82, of Hammonton died on Friday May 3, 2019,
with his family at his side, in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center,
Mainland Division.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he lived in Hammonton for more than
35 years. He formerly worked for Greenbriar Nursing Center in Ham-
monton. He also worked at the Claridge Hotel and Casino in Atlantic
City for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Maria Soto; his children, Roberto
Soto, Carmen Soto, William Soto, Maria Aviles, Luis Cruz; his sisters,
Myrna Cruz, Nelli Lugo, Norma Morales, Brunilda; his brother, Jose
Luis Soto, several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other rela-

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:30
a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph’s, 226 French Street, Ham-

Police dept. makes local arrests

• On May 2 at 12:38 p.m., a
pedestrian stop was made by K-9
Officer Robert Zbikowski at the
corner of E. Orchard and N. Sec-
ond Streets.
Zbikowski encountered two in-
dividuals, one of whom was Craig
M. Travis, 19, of Hammonton,
Friel said. Travis was found to be
in possession of drug parapherna-
lia, a hypodermic needle and pos-
session of controlled dangerous
substance marijuana under 50
grams, Friel said.
Travis was processed and re-
leased pending a court appearance
at Hammonton Joint Municipal
Court, Friel said.
Friel said the other individual
was not charged with any crimes.
• On May 3 at 10:08 p.m., Offi-
cer Brandan Campbell responded
to the 200 block S. Grand Street
and located a subject on the prop-
erty with a flashlight, Friel said.
“As the subject was ap-
proached, the subject was com-
bative and Officer Campbell
placed him under arrest,” Friel
said.
Friel said Campbell had an-
nounced that he was a police offi-
cer and the subject was non-
compliant and resisted arrest.
Joseph Bondiskey, 45, of Ham-
monton was arrested, Friel said.
“Mr. Bondiskey had been noti-
fied earlier in the day that he was
not permitted access to the prop-
erty by the property owner,” Friel
said.
According to Friel, Bondiskey
was charged with the following:
Disorderly conduct, resisting ar-
rest and defiant trespassing.

Louise R. Szabo
Louise R. Szabo (nee Ficchi), 97, of Hammonton died peacefully at
home on Monday, April 29, 2019, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Philadelphia, Szabo moved to Hammonton in 1950. She
worked as a seamstress for more than 20 years at Hammonton Park
Clothes and was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of
America. She will be remembered most for her dedication to her family,
her Sunday afternoon dinners of macaroni and meatballs, and her love
of joking around and dancing.
She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Joseph D. Szabo; her
parents, Antonio and Carmela Ficchi and eight brothers and sisters. Sur-
viving are her beloved sons, Allen and Keith of Hammonton and Wayne
(Cheryl Ann) of Mullica Twp. She will be profoundly missed by her grandchildren, Steven
W. Szabo (Erin), Jennifer Errig (Sean), Joseph L. Szabo and Leanne Evans (Sam); and
great-grandchildren, Carly, Steven, John, Gavin, Veronika, Gianna and Owen.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 3 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish–St. Joseph
Church, Hammonton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed at At-
lantic County Veterans Cemetery, Rt. 50, Estell Manor. Donations may be made to St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
