Antonio “ Tony ” Galli

Antonio “ Tony ” Galli , 82 , of Hammonton , N . J ., died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife , Irene , in their home on Wednesday , April 27 , 2022 .
Tony was born in Tocco da Cassauria , Abruzzo , Italy . He came to the United States in 1955 and resided in Hammonton for the rest of his time .
Anyone who knew Tony , knew of his infectious personality and his love for family . He always enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and sharing passionate stories about his diverse experiences . He took pride in his home and enjoyed landscaping it , always trying to convince his children that landscaping was an educational experience and not just a chore . Tony was extremely proud of his Italian heritage and often greeted people in his native language assuming everyone spoke Italian . He smiled ear to ear when they responded in Italian . He loved good food , especially Irene ’ s cooking , and good wine , and he enjoyed listening to operatic music .
He began adult life as the owner of a restaurant and bar ( Hammonton Hotel ) and later a deli ( Glassboro Coldcuts ). He later worked many years in the fine clothing manufacturing industry at Hammonton Park Clothes factory , and moved on to a supervisory position in Philadelphia at Pincus Brothers-Maxwell . He retired from Baxter International in Cherry Hill , N . J . in pharmaceutical manufacturing . He set an excellent example for his children and grandchildren instilling in them a strong work ethic .
Tony was a dedicated member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union and the Knights of Columbus . He enjoyed raising funds for the many important causes supported by the local chapter Pallotti Council No . 3471 .
He is predeceased by his parents , Cesare and Rosaria Galli ; his brother , Crescenzo Galli ; and his sister , Francesca Bronzini ( nee Galli ).
Tony is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years , Irene ; their sons , Tom ( Cindy ), Rick ( Tammie ) and Mike ( Kelly ) Galli ; and their daughter , Renee Riebe ( David ). He is the loving grandfather of Jake , Anthony , Giuliana , Sophia , Juliette and Scarlett . He is also survived by his brothers , Raffaele , Vincenzo and Paolo ; his sisters , Gemina , Agnese and Maria ; and many extended relatives .
Relatives and friends attended his viewing from 6:30 p . m . to 9 p . m . on Sunday , May 1 , 2022 at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N . Third St . Hammonton , NJ 08037 . A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a . m . on Monday , May 2 , 2022 at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish - St . Joseph Church , the corner of French & Third Streets Hammonton , NJ 08037 . Anthony J . Pagano

Anthony J . Pagano ( Tony ) was born in Rosedale on August 11 , 1933 to John and Angelina Pagano .
Tony attended St . Joseph ’ s School , graduating in 1950 . He entered the U . S . Navy in 1953 and spent 18 months on the USS Hornet on a United States Goodwill Tour . After being discharged , he spent four years working in construction . In 1960 he obtained his real estate license and spent three years in real estate sales . In 1964 Tony partnered with another real estate agent and opened Carriage Realty and Construction Co . in Berlin and Cherry Hill . His other business ventures included Continental Land Development Corp ., Brigantine Blvd . Assoc ., Cedar Brook Assoc . and Pepperwood Corp . In 1977 Tony incorporated the A . J . Pagano Construction Co ., Inc . Tony was a member of the Winslow Kiwanis Club ; Waterford Twp ., Lion ’ s Club , Waterford Twp MUA and the Atco Planning Board and a partner with Arrow Mortgage Company . Tony loved fishing and participating in Bass Tournaments , and enjoyed watching Phillies baseball and Eagles Football . He was an active member of St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish where he served as a Eucharistic Minister . Tony had a wonderful 88 plus years and leaves of legacy of friends and family behind . His infectious smile , the twinkle of his unique brown and blue eyes , his good nature and silly sense of humor and will be missed by all .
Tony is survived by his wife and best friend , Barbara Pagano ( nee Schmitt ); his children , Tony Pagano Jr ., Michael Pagano and Linda DiCiccio ; stepchildren , Pete Scaffidi , Deborah Weatherby and Barbara Marshall ; his grandchildren , Joe Pagano , Heather Mallette , Natalie Pagano , Phillip Pagano , Zachary Smith , Sarah Pagano , Bryanna Weatherby , Alexander Weatherby , Peter John Scaffidi and Nicholas Scaffidi .
Memorial donations may be made to the St . Vincent DePaul Society 226 French St , Hammonton .

HAMMONTON — Police were called to a disturbance on the 600 block of 12th Street at 7:52 p . m . on April 25 , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
“ Police were called to the 600 block of 12th Street . Upon arrival ,

“ There is no additional information at this point ,” Friel said .
Officer Hardik Patel observed a subject believed to be highly intoxicated and belligerent with the responding police ,” Friel said .
The property owner advised they did not want the subject on their property , Friel said . The patrol head asked the subject multiple times to leave , but the subject refused to comply and began to

Disorderly person arrest on 12th Street

Norine Granato ( nee Hoffman ), 87 , of Hammonton passed away on Thursday , April 28 , 2022 .
She was born in Nanty Glo , Pa . on September 23 , 1934 to the late Harry and Elizabeth Hoffman . Norine was a seamstress at Kessler Clothing Shop and Ubia Sportswear for many years . She is a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union . Nornine loved the outdoors and playing Bingo . She especially loved her swimming pool and gardening .
She is predeceased by her parents ; her husband , Samuel Granato Sr .; and her siblings , Mary Scaife , Rebecca Brown , Mildred Zelinsky , Elizabeth , Edward , Harry and Richard Hoffman .
Norine is survived by her two stepsons , Louis Granato ( Sharon Scaltrito ) and Samuel Granato Jr . ( Joan ); her step daughter , Frances Mary Toms ( George Lafferty ); three sisters , Anna Watson , Eleanor DiPaolo and Hilda Chapman ( Ed ); two brothers , John Hoffman ( Frannie ) and Larry Hoffman ( Rosemarie ); three step grandchildren , Louie Granato Jr . ( Lisa ), Sammy Granato ( Heather ) and Lori Smith ( Shawn ); and three step greatgrandchildren , Tyler Smith , Jason Smith and Sammy Granato and many nieces , nephews , cousins and friends .
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday , May 4 , 2022 , 11 a . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home 202 S . Third St ., Hammonton where a viewing will be held from 9:30 a . m . to 11 a . m . Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery , Hammonton . In lieu of flowers , memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt . Carmel Society , PO Box 182 , Hammonton , NJ 08037 .

The release said an investigation revealed that an unknown subject drove down Peach Street , discharged a firearm at a residence in that block , and left the scene . No individuals were injured in the incident , the release said .
The Hammonton Police Department ’ s Detective Unit and additional personnel responded to process the scene and evidence was located and retained , the release issued by the HPD said .
A reward of up to $ 1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the individual or individuals responsible , the release said .
“ At this point , no one has come forward yet ,” Friel said .
