Mark DiGuglielmo

Mark DiGuglielmo , 63 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away Tuesday April 16 , 2024 . He was born in Greenwich , Conn . and lived in Hammonton all of his life . He owned and operated Mark Gugie Painting , where he was a staple in the community providing quality work and excellent service for many years . He enjoyed spending his free time with friends and family , working on his fitness and hunting . He was also a proud Christian and member of Victory Bible Church .
He is predeceased by his mother , Shirley ( DiGuglielmo ) Nicolo . Mark is survived by his daughter , Adrianna Gattuso , her husband Dean ; and brothers ,
Michael DiGuglielmo , Vincent Nicolo and Joseph Williams .
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday April 19 , 2024 from 10 a . m . to 11 a . m . at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N Third St . Hammonton , NJ . Vehicle crash kills man on N . Egg Harbor Rd .

HAMMONTON — One person died in a single-vehicle crash on April 19 at 9:59 p . m . after the driver ran a stop sign and the vehicle overturned in an embankment on N . Egg Harbor Rd . near the intersection of N . Chew Rd .
According to a press release from the Hammonton Police Department , “ The Hammonton Police Department received a call of an erratic driver that had run a stop intersection at N . Egg Harbor Road at the intersection of E . Orchard Street almost causing a collision .
“ Hammonton Police officers dispatched and were checking the area for the accused vehicle , a 2007 Acura four-door sedan , when they located the accused vehicle overturned in an embankment on N . Egg Harbor Road near the intersection of N . Chew Road . The vehicle operator was identified as Erick Barahona- Pinedo , 32 , of Hammonton . Barahona-Pinedo was pronounced at the scene .”
The crash is being investigated by the Hammonton Police Department , the press release said .
“ The vehicle appears to have driven off the traveled portion of the roadway , striking a telephone pole and trees and overturning , landing in the embankment on N . Egg Harbor Road ,” Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
According to Friel , there was a DWI arrest on April 21 at 12:32 a . m .
Officer Juan Guzman was dispatched to the location of S . Egg Harbor Rd . and S . White Horse Pike in reference to an erratic driver .
Guzman observed a Black Ford F-150 failing to maintain its lane of travel .
He stopped the vehicle at Walmer Street and Third Street .
The driver was identified as Wilmer Zapatabarahona , 23 , of Hammonton .
Zapatabarahona was found to be operating under the influence , placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with the following motor vehicle violations : driving under the influence , open container in a motor vehicle , careless driving , reckless driving , failing to maintain lane of travel and safety glass requirement , Friel said .
Zapatabarahona was released as per John ’ s law pending court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court .
Guzman was the investing and arresting officer .
On April 20 , Friel attended Kramer Beverage ’ s Spring Fest at their warehouse in Hammonton where the new HERO car was unveiled .
“ It ’ s wonderful to have a company such as Kramer Beverage in our community . They are a family-oriented company , which gives back to the community . They have a non-profit called Kramer Cares , and they donated the wrap for the HERO car that the Hammonton Police Department will use to help remind the public to have a designated driver and not to drive impaired ,” Friel said .
This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement . All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law .

One of Sepe ’ s goals is to get the Parks and Recreation Commission more fields , equipment and whatever else needs to be done so the children have more places to play sports .
Besides adding more recreation opportunities for children , Sepe ’ s other priorities are with the police department and highway department .
He said there are still a lot of roads that need to be paved .
Sepe wants to keep the tax ratable stable . He said he ’ d like to see more industry come into the town and more businesses because it helps lower the tax rate .
If elected , Sepe will bring his several years of accounting and business knowledge to help bring more businesses in town .
Rodio is seeking reelection this fall . She currently serves on the quality of life committee where she works as a liaison with the
Environmental Commission , Green Committee , Diversity , Equity and Inclusion ( DEI ), Homeless Committee and Historical Preservation .
Her job as a physical therapist requires her to have time management skills , organization skills , deal with public on a regular basis , be proactive to issues and problem solving skills .
Some of Rodio ’ s goals are serving the people of Hammonton , improve roads , improve the quality of infrastructure for water and sewer , improve quality of schools for children , create job opportunities and new business and preserve the integrity of our downtown and community .
According to Rodio , she wants to be on town council because she cares about the town and the people in it .
If reelected , Rodio will continue to give back to the community .
