Albert D. Calascione Jr.
albert D. “albie” Calascione Jr., 27, of Winslow twp., died on
tuesday, april 4, 2017.
albert worked as an auto mechanic at several shops in the South
Jersey area. He was affectionately nicknamed “Boop.” His passion
was cars and his street bike . He was an avid Marvel comic book
collector, especially Captain america and ironman. albert enjoyed
special times on the beach.
He is survived by his parents, albert and Linda (nee Ordille)
Calascione; his brother, Charles Calascione; his sister, Charlotte
Calascione and his fiancée, tara fooder; many loving aunts, uncles
and cousins and also the fooder family, and his special pets, Chevy
and Costello.

8 at the Marinella funeral Home, 102 N. third St., Hammonton. entombment was in
Greenmount Cemetery.

Edwin R. Silipena
edwin r. Silipena, 88, of Hammonton, died on friday, april 7,
2017, in Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees.
Born in Nesco, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired
supervisor for Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton. Mr. Silipena
was a member of the M.B. taylor Masonic Lodge 141 in Hammon-
ton. He loved woodworking and fixing things.
Mr. Silipena was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and anna;
his sister, florence; and his five brothers, Joseph, George, frank,
John and anthony “tony.” He is survived by his wife, Verna rita
Silipena (nee andronico); two daughters and their husbands, Karen
and William Kohri of Sykesville, Md., Cinthia and terry Bohne-
meier of O’fallon, ill.; four grandchildren, Christopher (emily)
Bohnemeier, Margaret (Danny) Bradac, Leah Kohri, Kevin (Crys-
tal) Kohri; four great-grandchildren, Paige Bohnemeier, Kayla Bohnemeier, alexander
Bradac and austin Bradac, and many nieces and nephews.
a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, april 12, 2017, noon, in
St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph’s, 226 french St., Hammonton,
where a viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow in Holy Sepul-
chre Cemetery.

Angelo Milazzo Sr.
angelo Milazzo Sr., 92, of Hammonton, died peacefully at home
on Sunday, april 9 surrounded by family, who loved him very
much.
angelo was born and raised in Hammonton and was a lifelong
resident. angelo served in the US army in 1948. He was employed
at and retired from Whitehall Labs in Hammonton. Prior to White-
hall, he worked for ideal Bakery and Vets Bakery. angelo loved
spending time with family. He was a skilled accordion player and
enjoyed playing pool, pinochle and poker. He loved his Sunday
macaroni, meatballs and gravy, and he loved to dance. He was the
son of the late Orazio and Catherine (Giatto) Milazzo.
He was predeceased by his identical twin brother, Nicholas;
brothers, anthony, John, Carl, Dominick, Joseph and Samuel Mi-
lazzo and sister, teresa (Milazzo) Sole. angelo is survived by his loving wife, Connie
of 64 years; sister, rose amedio; sons, andy (Doreen) of Galloway, rusty (Sue), Bobby
(Mimi); daughter, Lynda (Bill) Paulus of Hammonton; 11 grandchildren, Shannon (Paul),
allyson, Lauren, Sabrina, Christian, David, amy, Michael (Gretchen), Giana, Crystal
and rachel; one great-grandchild, and many loving nieces and nephews.

april 17, 2017, noon, at the St Mary of Mt Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church, third and
french St., in Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 10 – 11:50 a.m. at the

Warrant arrests made by HPD

HaMMONtON—the Ham-
monton Police Department made a
number of arrests last week, in-
cluding the following, Hammonton
Det. Sgt. edward Slimm said.
• On april 5 at 12:15 a.m., Kyle
Bingenheimer, 29, of Hammonton,
was arrested on Pressey Street on
four outstanding warrants, two
from Hammonton, including one
for $1,500 and one for $200; one
from Monroe twp. for $751; and
one from Winslow twp. in the
amount of $102.
Bingenheimer was transported
to the atlantic County Jail in lieu
of payment of the warrants, Slimm
said.
Class ii Officer Christopher
Sentell was the arresting officer,
Slimm said.
• On april 5 at 10:09 p.m.,
roger Stewart, 30, of Hammonton,
was arrested at the corner of Or-
chard Street and railroad avenue
on two active warrants, one from
Winslow twp. in the amount of
$983 and one from trenton, Slimm
said.
Officer Kyle ambrozaitis was
the arresting officer, Slimm said.
Slimm said Stewart was released
on his own recognizance pending
court.
• On april 3 at 3:36 p.m., robert
Benner, 27, of Vineland, was ar-
rested on Sports Drive (in Ham-
monton Lake Park), Slimm said.
He had a warrant from the at-
lantic County Sheriff’s Department
and an active warrant from Mullica
twp. for $5,000.
Benner was unable to post bail
and was taken to the atlantic
County Jail, Slimm said.
Class ii Gordon ellis iii was the
arresting officer, Slimm said.
• On april 4 at 4:04 a.m., rod-
ney Snyder Jr., 52, of folsom, was
arrested at the intersection of Pass-
more avenue and Washington
Street on warrants from folsom,
Slimm said.
“On the warrants from folsom,
the total amount is $2,278,” Slimm
said.
Officer David reustle was the
arresting officer, Slimm said.
• On april 7 at 8:19 p.m.,
Charles Watson Jr., 46, of Ham-
monton, was arrested on Giordano
Lane, Slimm said. He was arrested
on a warrant from Hamilton twp.
on a “no bail” warrant and on a
warrant from Hammonton in the
amount of $1,500.
Sgt. Donald Kunen was the ar-
resting officer, Slimm said.
Ann Marie Medina
ann Marie Medina, 76, of Hammonton, died on tuesday, april
4, 2017, in Kessler SeD atlantiCare in Hammonton.
Born in fitchburg, Mass., she lived in Hammonton for many
years.
She is survived by her husband, ruben Medina Maldonado; her
mother, Betty Vowles; her daughter, Mary ann Jones and her hus-
band, tim; her son, Stephen Dalley; three brothers, Phillip Vowles
Jr., Paul Vowles, Larry Vowles and her granddaughter, Jordan
Matthews.

Matthew ferrari, 32, of Brooklyn,
N.Y., was arrested in the area of
third and Locust Streets. He was
found to have three, active war-
rants from atlantic City totaling
$1,550, Slimm said.
He was taken to the atlantic
County Jail following his arrest by
Officer Brandan Campbell, Slimm
said.
in other crime news, felix Gar-
cia, 30, of Hammonton, was ar-
rested at 2:56 p.m. on april 9 for
driving while under the influence
(DWi), Slimm said.
“He was involved in an accident
on South egg Harbor road. When
police arrived on the scene, they
found him to be intoxicated. He
was arrested and charged and re-
leased per John’s Law following a
period of time,” Slimm said.

USa (Hammonton United Service
associations) has proven in the
past that it has what it takes to
raise significant funds for major
projects that help the community.
after a 10 year hiatus, Hammon-
ton USa is working together

this year the fundraiser is for
the Hammonton Hawks to help
with for the relocation costs of
moving from Hammonton Lake
Park to William t. Capella field
on the grounds of the Hammonton
Middle School.

event will be held on Saturday,
april 22. it will be a Pork ‘n’ Beer
with music, dancing, chance auc-
tion and a 50/50. the event will
be at Kerri Brooke Caterers from
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Doors will open
at 6 p.m. for auction preview of
prizes and gifts. Dinner will begin
at 7:30 p.m. with music and danc-
ing to follow. tickets are $35 per
person and are on sale now. You
