John D . D ’ Agostino Sr .

John D . D ’ agostino Sr ., 91 of Hammonton , died on tuesday , april 3 , 2018 at his residence .

Born in Hammonton , John was a lifelong resident and graduate of Hammonton High School . He was the owner and founded in 1969 , the D ’ agostino agency . He proudly served in the U . S . army , was a past member of Kiwanis international , Knights of Columbus , Hospital Board of Kessler Memorial Hospital , former secretary and treasurer of Greenmount Cemetery and served as the registrar for the town of Hammonton for many years .

He is survived by his wife , Catherine ( nee Lafferty ); daughter , Sharon D ’ agostino ; son , John D ’ agostino Jr . ( Michele ) and grandchildren , Natalie D ’ agostino , Stephanie D ’ agostino , John M . D ’ agostino , Mike Mulvenna . a Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday , april 6 , 2018 at the St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish St . Joseph ’ s Church . interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery , Hammonton . arrangements made by Landolfi Funeral Home .

Elizabeth “ Bettie ” Baviera

elizabeth “ Bettie ” Baviera ( nee tomasello ), 73 of Hammonton , died on tuesday , april 3 , 2018 in atlanticCare regional Medical Center , Mainland Division .

Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident there . Bettie retired from trump Plaza where she worked in the wardrobe department .

She was predeceased by her parents , anthony “ Spitz ” and Susie tomasello . Bettie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years , Beaver Baviera ; her sisters , rose Marie tomasello , Dottie Mortellite and her husband Carl and her brother , robert a . tomasello all of Hammonton . Bettie is also survived by her nieces and nephews , Jim tomasello , Beth tomasello ( Helen Cooke ) and Susie tomasello ( Kevin Martin ). a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday , april 7 , 2018 11 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish , St . anthony of Padua Church . Burial was private . in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation , PO Box 1066 , Hammonton , NJ 08037 or to the St . Vincent de Paul Society , c / o St . Barbara L . Panarello

Barbara L . Panarello ( nee Pajic ), 77 of Hammonton , died on Monday , april 2 , 2018 at atlantiCare Medical Center in atlantic City .

Born in Blue anchor , she was a lifelong resident of the Blue anchor and Hammonton area . Barbara enjoyed cooking , canning and baking — especially wedding cakes . She was a member of St . Mary of St . Mt . Carmel rosary Society , where she served as treasurer and she formerly volunteered at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish Church office . Before retiring Barbara worked as the credit union manager at Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton .

She was predeceased by three brothers , John , Michael and Nicholas Pajic and three sisters , Laura Garber , Mary Giles and anna Heggan . She is survived by her husband , John J . Panarello Sr .; two sons , John J . Panarello Jr . of Hammonton and Joseph Panarello ( Lisa Dobson ) of St . roman , Calif .; two grandchildren , Joseph H . Panarello and Kali reece ; one brother , thomas Pajic ( arleen ) of Cherry Hill and one sister , Joyce Bombara ( Sam ) of Waterford . a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday , april 7 , 2018 at St . Mary of Mt . Carmel Parish St . Joseph Church . Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Blue anchor . arrangements made by the Carnesale Funeral Home .

Dana Kay Bentley

Dana Kay Bentley , age 68 of Hammonton , died at her home on Sunday , april 1 , 2018 .

Born in Philadelphia , Dana lived in Hammonton her entire life and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1968 . She went on to work for William B . Kessler Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years and the last 12 years for South Jersey Chest Disease .

Dana is predeceased by her parents , roy and Florence Bentley . Surviving is her sister , Patricia Fichetola of Hammonton ; her niece , Kim Fichetola ; nephews , rocco Fichetola and his wife Cheryl , the late Wayne Fichetola and his wife Catherine and Mark Fichetola ; 10 great nieces and nephews ; 18 great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great niece .

Funeral services were held on thursday april 5 , 2018 at the Marinella Funeral Home . Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton . in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cumberland County SPCa , 1244 N . Delsea Drive Vineland , NJ 08360 . arrangements made by the Marinella Funeral Home .

Chieco comments on student

Robert H . Cramer Sr . robert H . Cramer Sr ., 91 of Mullica township , died on Sunday , april 1 , 2018 at home .

Born in Millville , he was a resident of the Hammonton and Mullica township area for 80 years . Mr . Cramer was a U . S . Navy Veteran of World War ii . Before retiring , he worked as a mailman for the Hammonton Post Office for 33 years . He was a coach for the Hammonton Hawks Football Organization and the Hammonton Little League where he coached DiDonato ’ s . He enjoyed boating , fishing , camping , rVing , motorcycles , hunting and his John Deere tractor .

Mr . Cramer was predeceased by his first wife , Gladys Cramer ; daughter , Carol Peacock ; son-in-law , John DeFrancisco and sister , eleanor Scardino . He is survived by his wife , Brenda C . Cramer of Mullica township ; three children , Patricia DeFrancisco , robert H . Cramer Jr . Chieco after that incident occurred , the school administration dealt with a threat made by a middle school student , according to school officials .

“ On tuesday , February 27 , the Hammonton Police Department and the Hammonton School District received information about a threat at the Hammonton Middle School from a student who attends that school ,” Chieco said in a letter . the middle school student involved with the alleged threat in February was suspended from the school district , Hammonton Board of education President Sam Mento iii told The Gazette at the time . in other police news , two people were arrested on warrants at 12:26 a . m . on april 9 , Hammonton Police Chief robert Jones said .

Christian rueda , 19 , from the 700 block of Moss Mill road was arrested on two outstanding warrants from the town of Hammonton totaling $ 828 , Jones said .

Jones said rueda was unable to post bail and was placed in the atlantic County Jail .

Mark Mcadams , 36 , of Winslow twp . was arrested at the same time for $ 3,500 in outstanding warrants from Hammonton , and was also placed in the atlantic County Jail , Jones said .

HaMMONtON — a Waterford twp . woman was killed after her vehicle struck the rear of a moving tractor-trailer at 9:01 p . m . on March 29 on route 206 , Hammonton Police Chief robert Jones said .

Jones said the accident occurred between mile marker four on route 206 and the county line . according to Jones , a gray 2009 audi a5 driven by Deborah Bryne , 53 , of Waterford twp . ran into the rear of a 1995 blue Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Stanley Gutowski , 79 , of Vineland , Jones said .

“ She was pronounced dead at the scene . We are still awaiting autopsy reports ,” Jones said .

Both vehicles were traveling southbound when the accident occurred , Jones said . Bryne is vehicle rear-ended the back of the moving tractor-trailer , then went off the roadway and crashed into a wooded area , Jones said . Officer Jason rigby was the investigating officer , Jones said .
