The committee then discussed two contracts , with Herrmann leading the conversations .
“ The Valley CM for the project was 799 , and schoolhouse was 556 for all that … I give that to you for review and any comment and I can ask for the authorized money if that ’ s OK with you guys ,” Herrmann said .
The committee agreed , and Councilman Edward Wuillermin asked Herrmann which contract would be done first .
“ How close , if you go through the critical path … where does that put us to start on either one of the two projects ?” Wuillermin asked .
“ I ’ d hate to push it through the summer and not hit the deadline , so if we can get these things done
towards the end of May , get that going … let me look at that and try and game plan the schedules and let you know what I think we can do ,” Herrmann said .
Hammonton Public Works Manager Robert Vettese then brought up work on Vine Street , and how they needed to get the demo there started as soon as they got the letter from the state .
Recreation Leader Denise Mazzeo updated the committee about the playground equipment , and said they did not order the equipment yet .
“ We do not have it ordered yet . We had to go through the process of figuring out the base color for the ground , the surface , before we made decisions on the color of the playground equipment before we can get it ordered ,” Mazzeo said .
Mazzeo explained that on the long end of the process , it would take around 16 weeks to roughly have the playground equipment

ARH ’ s Herrmann returns as town engineer representative

in . She mentioned they were coordinating with Scott Taylor , the landscape architect , as he was going to design the colors of the equipment itself based off of the colors chosen for the port and place .
Councilman Sam Rodio said to clarify that they were about four or five months away from the playground equipment .
Mazzeo said that the construction not taking place in the summer could be a good thing , as many people can go to the playground and not have to worry about construction taking place .
Town engineer Rich Hall from ARH said that they would make sure that the contractor would maintain a safe construction site , as safety is the number one priority of the town .
Rodio explained once again , no matter which way people look at the playground , it still will not be started until fall .
Herrmann then discussed Old Forks Road and how they are getting the base plans , and they should be finalized soon .
Vettese added that they were grabbing information for the sanitary sewer , as it comes off their base plan . Vettese added they were going to add laterals , and they would have to accommodate properties along that side of the road .
Rich Rehmann from ARH addressed Phase 2 of the lake park , and how they had the grant money to go forward with the project .
Vettese said that Phase 2 should go through and the $ 400,000 dollar grant should be used . He also said everything should be finalized by and discussed by Taylor and Mazzeo , to make sure they are not missing anything .
“ It ’ s good to clarify what that scope is , what we ’ re getting $ 400,000 for , so that we don ’ t violate anything you got money for ,” Vettese said .
Mazzeo asked Herrmann to clarify the walkways and paths towards the Little League area , and that it would connect the current project , but it was an extension of what work they planned .
Rodio also added that fencing may be done around that park as well , which would be another addition to the project .
Rehmann discussed how they had to be cautious of the Pinelands , and to make sure everything is coordinated with the town .
The next topic of discussion was Route 54 , and Herrmann led the discussion .
