OBItUARIES Dorothy J . Lucca

Dorothy J . Lucca ( nee LaBriola ), 97 , of Hammonton , N . J . passed away Monday , February 14 , 2022 .
She was born in Buena Vista Twp . and lived in Hammonton most of her life . Dorothy worked in the Glass Factories , stopped to raise her children which was the most important thing to her and went back to work for W . B Kessler Memorial Hospital where she retired . Taking care of the elderly was her passion .
She is predeceased by her parents , Frank and Abby Labriola ; husband , John Lucca ; and granddaughter , Nicole .
She is survived by her two daughters , Gail Lucca and her husband Jimmie of Landisville , N . J . and Debbie Mazza and her husband Bill of Hammonton , N . J . She is the loving grandmother of Justin Mazza ( Heather ) and great-grandmother of Beth and Abby Mazza . Services and burial were held privately by the family . Joyce V . Amato

Joyce V . Amato ( nee McCluskey ), 86 , of Hammonton passed away on Monday , March 14 , 2022 at her residence .
Born in Camden she was a lifelong Hammonton resident . Joyce worked first as a pharmacy technician and then a histology technician at Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton . She went on to work at Kessler Home Health as a Health Aide Coordinator and finished her career at AtlantiCare Home Health . She was a member of the Hammonton Canoe Club , where she enjoyed going and playing cards . She loved all sorts of crafts including painting and stitching . Joyce enjoyed reading and loved to collect Angels . Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-granddaughter .
She is predeceased by her parents , John and Janet McCluskey ; her husband , John A . Amato Jr .; her son , Jack Amato ; and her stepsister , Judy McArdle .
Joyce is survived by her daughter , Janice Dispoto and her husband Charles of Hammonton ; her grandchildren , emily Dispoto Moorhead ( Shawn ), Andrew Dispoto , Laura Dudek ( Collin ); zachary Dispoto and her great-granddaughter , indigo Dispoto-Moorhead .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday , March 18 , 2022 , 11 a . m . at St . Mary of Mt Carmel Parish , Church of St . Anthony of Padua RC Church , 285 Route 206 , Hammonton , N . J . where a visitation will be held from 10 a . m . until 11 a . m . Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery . in lieu of flowers , memorial donations may be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation PO Box 1066 , Hammonton , NJ ( hammontoncancerfoundation . org ).

POLICE , from Page 1 “ Vehicle one was traveling westbound on county route 542 [ Central Avenue / Ronald Reagan Drive ]. Vehicle number one then made a right turn onto Bellevue Avenue [ Route 54 ], and its trailer then collided into the light standard with the passenger side of the trailer ,” Friel said .
Friel said the truck , a 2016 Kenworth , was operated by Shawanna Bartley , 32 , of Moncks , S . C ., Friel said .
“ After being struck , the light standard fell upon Reagan Rock , located at the corner of the intersection ,” Friel said .

Reagan Rock hit by light standard

Man had active warrant

HAMMONTON — A man who was stopped for speeding at 4:04 a . m . on March 7 near the intersection of Route 206 and Basin Road was found to have an active warrant , Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said .
Officer Dalton Verderame stopped a vehicle for speeding , and found that the driver , Robert Kelsey , 36 , of Mays Landing , was found to have an active warrant from Colt ’ s Neck for $ 1,000 , Friel said .
Kelsey was released on his own recognizance with a new court date in Colt ’ s Neck Municipal Court for the warrant and issued summonses for driving while suspended and expired registration , Friel said .
Friel said Verderame was the arresting and charging officer . in other police news , police made a warrant arrest at 11:25 a . m . on March 5 on the 100 block of S . White Horse Pike ( Route 30 ), Friel said .
“ There was a disabled motor vehicle in the roadway . Officer Christopher Henshaw arrived and identified a John Mick , 37 , of Atlantic City , who was found to have an outstanding warrant in the amount of $ 2,800 ,” Friel said .
Mick was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing , and while in transport to the Atlantic County Jail , he became irate , spitting and kicking the rear door of the transport vehicle , damaging parts of the rear door , Friel said .
Friel said Henshaw was the arresting , charging and transporting officer .
This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement . All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law .

Officer Travis Hoffman observed a vehicle near the intersection of Lakeview Drive and the White Horse Pike , Friel said .
Friel said the vehicle was traveling east toward Mullica Twp . with the vehicle failing to maintain the lane of travel multiple times .
Hoffman initiated a motor vehicle stop at Seventh Street and the White Horse Pike and the vehicle continued traveling east well into Mullica Twp ., Friel said . The driver , identified as Akee Cradle , 33 , of Millville , was observed to have watery and bloodshot eyes and had an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person , Friel said .
